I could sell them at my campus but they give bogus pay. I don't have an Ebay account so I can't sell them that way. Plus I found several sites where I could sell these textbooks, but ultimately I deem them unreliable. Whats the best way to sell my books? Thanks .

or abebooks or half

amazon seems to be the one moving most often for me though, do keep in mind that most people are selling their books now so your listings will probably be up until the fall

This is what I used to always do with great success, although it only works for books that are the latest edition:

Next semester/quarter lookup the date and time of the first lecture for the course you just took. Hang around the bookstore for the first 30 minutes after that class gets out - many of the students will go get the textbook right after the first lecture. Stand by the new books and offer people yours for $10 bucks less.

Never EVER sell your books back to the blood sucking vampires who set up shop by the bookstore at the end of each semester. Half. com, your local used book store and, textbook.com are some suggestions. Hell, keeping them as reference books is better than selling them back at school.

I did this at first but ended up with a stack of books that just kept getting in the way. My college offers a decent price, its not the best but its better than nothing.

some are worth keeping as reference books. students at the CC i go to send out mass emails to every student in school before a semester starts offering used books for sale, so ive gotten some that way, some off amazon/half and a couple other places.

Post on the campus bulletin board if they're current editions. Craigslist as well.

The school here rapes you on their book buyback program. They once offered me $17 for a set of books I had paid $140 for.

I went to the first meeting of the same class when the semester started and sold them to a student for $90.

When you guys say 'reference' books, are you guys referring to them being used in the future in general or are you talking about how the materials could help specifically with future college work?

Thanks for all the advice already, please keep expressing your stories .

I've kept all my accounting and bookkeeping textbooks for future reference.

It's not likely that I'll ever need them...but...

Since some of my classes use the same textbook as others did, (101,102, etc.) I kept the ones I knew I'd need, but otherwise, the last week of classes, I started posting them for sale to catch people needing books for the following semester.
