Semi-Hot? 17" Flat-Panel for $299 AR...

Saw this on Tiger Direct, could be hot. Have to wait for a $50 rebate (if it ever comes), and the unit only comes with a 1-year warranty. Check out the link if interested:

I would not recommend purchasing this because it is Tiger Direct and you get what you pay for. For this price it can't be that good IMHO.

hmmm, I've been waiting for a good and affordable LCD deal to come by for many weeks now, this seems to be the best so far. I'm gonna have to think about this over the weekend. here's the info about that lcd from the company website

I can't find the response time ANYWHERE. Its probably 50 maybe 40. This monitor looks mediocre at best but the price is good. Other places have this monitor for about $400 AR so $300 seems like a good deal for this econo-LCD

Response time is 23ms... NO GHOSTING!

Also has a zero burnt pixel policy, bad pixel, exchanged by the manufacturer postage paid for the first 60 days

3 year parts and labor Warranty!!

Price looks good, but TigerDirect is suck. I will never buy anything from them ever again. They charged a ton of members here $60 on ther CC's that were UNAUTHORIZED. HELLO! They tried to STEAL!

anyone tried asking the manufacture to sell direct? since the rebate is by them i don't see the difference. or ask the manufacture for other retailers besides tigerdirect. this is definetely attractive... must resist and hang on to my 19" tube

Thread on Tigerdirect is here. This was started in Forum Issues, as I had a problem with AT taking their money for advertizing. You will see that I am by no means the only one who had problems.

If youa re concidering buying this monitor, please read the thread, and make an informed decision.

For those of you in the aera, Global Computer outlet in Aurora Illinois can get this monitor direct from TigerDirect, and it is a B&M store. Much better than ordering over the Web. I still doubt you will recieve the $50 rebate, but it is still a deal $350 as long as it works.

Why buy this and be subject to crappy TigerDirect scams?

I've seen Dell 17" LCD monitors going for $370-410 with coupons. Pay a few extra bucks and save yourselves some serious headaches. besides, if your rebate from TigerDirect doesn't get paid, you'll be paying nearly as much for a Dell (Samsung rebadged)

Got the Monitor in yesterday...

Works great, looks great! It even has a built in USB 1.1 hub in it!

Not a one dead pixel ! Gotta love it! The price is right! 3 year warranty too!!!

I got the monitor too, but the website it had speakers, which it does not, and mine has 1 dead pixel, I dunno if the warrantly will cover one. Other than that, I give the monitor a 6.5/10

i dont know why people dog them all the time. ALL my purchases from them were fine. EVan 2 refurbed gateway 15" lcd no dead pix ect..
