I've been told that painting analogies are no good. I'm sure kage69 will be along shortly to set you straight. When I made that sweeping generalization about forum participants (and nobody ever stereotypes groups like that here, right?) I was just testing an idea, not making a wholehearted attempt to insult anyone. Anyway, if I was trying to insult, I would have said Porsche liberals. The point, which you seem rather determined to miss, is that there has been real wage stagnation in the US middle class over the last generation. Trump was able to tap into the frustration associated with that while Hillary played it down.
Are you really this fucking dense? I state that my wages have stagnated and you fucking tell me that I don't understand your point about wage stagnation?

Damn, dude. I'll concede if it's hurting your feelings that bad. You did say that, and I missed it because I was addressing a different part of your post. My apologies.

That kind of thinking is troubling to me, because it was the same justification for dismantling the Voting Rights Act.
Time does really change things, Progressives should be the first to acknowledge this truism. But I'm not talking about dismantling anything particularly. I'm sure you would find many of my ideas troubling, but I'm glad you are willing to talk without getting all excited.

Obama looks slightly taller than Trump, yet Trump is supposed to be two inches taller.
and you think Trump told the Trump when it came to his height. I tried to tell pcgeek lying constantly about small stuff indicates a pathology in the person. How can he be trusted on any level??

There's some 1960's Flight Attendant escorting Trump and the Obamas as they leave the Capitol.

Brings back fond memories of the golden age of Air Travel.
I haven't seen pic but if your description is true may be dog whistle Trump wants to take us back to 1960. You know before the 64 Civil Rights Act and the 65 Voting Rights Act.

As I said, she was a hildabeast supporter all the way, so not someone to take an opportunity to bash CNN because they love Trump. That gives her even more credibility when she says "why do you lie, CNN?". Ouch. Of course we know the answer is "because they are typical leftist media liars trying to push their agenda".
Are you going to make this obvious mistake Breaking News yet tolerate Trump outright lying on a daily basis

Back into victimhood I see. Passive agression is weak.

I explicitly used the word "estimated" and NEVER stated it was fact or an actual number. And I didn't make it up...Politifact cites this estimate and here's a link citing several other similar crowd size estimates made prior to the event.
http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Trump-Inauguration-Crowd-Estimates-410559995.html

So yes...you have indeed made false statements. Apparently this is difficult for you to understand.

And you never answered my question. If you don't think 700,000-900,000 is a reasonable estimate, what do think the crowd size estimate should be? And given your estimate (whatever it may be), exactly what importance does that number signify to you in the scheme of things?
I know this is unscientific but my eyes tell me around 400,000. No fvcking way this is anywhere close to 900,000. Also you can't see everyone in the Obama pic

There's just no pleasing some people. How about just learning that I am sincere. Passive aggressive? I don't even know how to do that online, and I'm not invested enough to care.

Its so easy. Don't you know? You just bomb the radicalization away. Conservatives know this because they are pussies and if they were bombed they would totally fold.

...there has been real wage stagnation in the US middle class over the last generation.

Thing is, I do not think Trump nor any "free market" proposal can address this core issue.
Capitalism is about efficiency, and labor is becoming easier to chop every passing year.
I do not believe there's any "going back" to the jobs of yore, only moving forward with what it means to lose them and their value.
And I do not believe it stops at middle class either. Everyone needs to come together to face the inevitable end of labor.

Yeah, the Park Service gave up on crowd estimates as organizers always bitched that the NPS estimates were too low and opposing groups always bitched that the estimates were too high so the NPS said, "Screw it."

lol!

I'll buy that conditionally, and counter by saying that transitions are delicate times.

.

Imean...you can fucking count the squares in those two images, and do a reasonably accurate approximation.

I mean, I often spend some of my days counting thousands of cells on slides, in plates, whatever, using scale measures and stuff--you know: like scale rectangles on a grid and image ID and what not--but it's not like those two images give us a nice approximation like that.

right? ...right?

I mean, no way I could look at Doc Savage's "reported" ~1x (2017) claim for population size compared to what he says is only 2x (2009), and easily compare it to those video captures ...in some way!...to visually confirm if those numbers are somehow reasonable.

no, not a fucking chance. No way, sir. not at all.

An online poll is the obvious solution.

Did you attend the 2009 inauguration?

Did you attend the 2017 inauguration?

Tally up the responses and we're done.

People starving for work they no longer have are not prone to... delicate times.
Obama rallied their hopes in 2008, Trump did so again in 2016...
We must be prepared to present the American people a real solution next time.
