Down w/ Boston. Most decrepit town next to Philly and Jersey. Even NY people were better than the lowlives of Boston. Ya hate me and defend your city. I don't care. I was a tourist who stayed at each place for a week, and was more pissed off than any other trip I've ever been to. You don't go on vacation/trips to be pissed off.

Must be something wrong with you as I visited Boston and liked it so much I moved here and I'm from CA.

Sox fans are real fans unlike the monkeys in LA that arrive at the park during the second inning and leave after the seventh.

Meh, even if they were not playing against the Sox I'd want them to lose. They have a pathetic fan-base and the playoff games barely sold out. Plus their park absolutely blows.

Barely sold out? Link please? I could've sworn that they sold out games 1 & 2 before going on sale to the general public. I was hoping to get tix up here in NH. I still am holding out hope for World Series tix.

Pathetic fan base? That's a lot harder to defend because the whole state of Florida is a football state. The Marlins, Rays, Panthers, Lightning, and Magic don't have much hope. Plus, losing like they have for 10 years doesn't help build a fan base. On the other hand, they did sell well on their last homestand against the Twins. Also, they had large fan rallies at the airport and a couple of other locations once their season ended.

lol, with the White Sox you had to win a lottery to get a chance to get the opportunity to buy tickets and they still sold within minutes. Yes, I said that right.

Yes, there fan base is pathetic. They had the fifth worst total attendance. And don't give me record crap because Cincinnati has sucked hard for a long time and they sold 250k more tickets. The Padres sold 700k more tickets.

If the state isn't into baseball, then the team should obviously move and get a real stadium while it's at it. First of all, baseball is meant to be played outside! And no, I have not been there, but I've seen it enough on TV to realize that it is hideous. Plus the fact that every reporter that travels there hates it.

The Rays had the same lottery for our tickets. I didn't get picked. Ours sold out too. Maybe not within minutes, but they did.

How long have Cincy and SD existed? Tampa has had their team for 10 years and they sucked for their entire existence. If the owner and the local fans can get their way, the team will relocate to a new stadium in actual Tampa and it'll be a lot easier to get to then their current location in St. Pete.

I'll agree that football and baseball should be played outdoors. However, there's something to be said for being indoors when it's a daytime game in July/August and it's 90 degrees with 80% humidity. Move the team? Both the NL and AL want a team in FL. Miami and Tampa are the only places that can support them. Miami is just too cheap to build a new stadium, so they're stuck at a football stadium. Maybe our stadium is hideous, but I like it a helluva lot better than the Kingdome where the Mariners used to play. That was like a mausoleum.

Building a new park in Tampa would probably help a ton. A good run at the playoffs this year, a new park on the horizon, and higher revenue in general.
