Man this game is taking forever!
it's playoff AL baseball involving the red sox. of course it is taking forever. if it doesn't take 5 hours the networks don't get their money's worth.
tropicana is the ugliest stadium ever. the astrodome never looked that bad. was part of the turf burned?
and a big FU to bud selig for saying that the astros couldn't play in round rock 'because it wasn't a major league stadium' yet is 10x nicer than that steaming pile of crap this game is being played in.
hell, it's nicer than that rotting pile of wood and bricks the red sox call home.
A few points, All playoff baseball games take longer, pitchers are more deliberate and batters step out of the box more often trying to gather them selfs, it's the nature of the beast. Yes, tropicana field is a joke, having catwalks above that come into play is ridiculous. Baseball should be outdoors played on grass, not a friggin carpet. Fenway is old but hardly "rotting", it's very well maintained. Even though Yankee stadium was a house of horrors for the Bosox I was sad to see it go, these old parks (fen. Wrigley, YS) IMO are national treasures to passed to one generation to the next, not torn down for something "new" and "shiny". It would have been nice for a NY fan 150 years from now to go to a game and explain to a son or daughter who Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig ect, were and what they meant to the game.
