Yeah maybe they should move the police 3 exits closer on the interstate I think that would help the response time more then going nazis about cars in the other lane on an otherwise empty road.

For the ambulance to bad I was on drive down the road if I wasn't you would have 16.999 miles away from the ER instead you died 17 miles away sucks to be you next time get the helocopter ride.
Haha agrt.

New car manufacturers are quick to point out how awesome the sound deadening is in their cars. Some even have commercials bragging about how you can't hear sirens while inside the car. It seems highly irresponsible to me...

Wow is right. How do you come up with this bullsh!t. If you nor anyone else behind u moves and the lane the ambulance is in is full. Where the fvck is he supposed to go tool.

Saves .1 seconds my ass, if he has to wait for the light to change or people infront of him to finnally figure out how to make a whole we could be talking 30sec-1min.

If it happends a couple times on a trip, it can mean the difference between life and death

Also if they thought that changing 911 to 91 or 9 would save time and lives they would do it. But tools like you would accidentally hit 9 and create calls to the call center further decreasing response times.

To go along with this, I hate when you do yield the right of way to them, the people behind you sometimes block you from getting back in your original lane. That's always annoying.

I have a recent story about this very topic.

I pulled into the left turn lane at a fairly busy street (2 lanes each side). While I was the only person in the turn lane, the other two lanes next to me were backed up quite a bit waiting for the red light to change. Meanwhile, I see an ambulance quite a ways back from me and headed for the turn lane. The legal thing for me to do is pull to the right, to get the hell out of his way. Well, I quickly check for oncoming traffic and I pull out of the turn lane in front of the guy next to me (on the right) and stop. Of course, at that very moment, the damn lights change and the a@@hat I'm parked in front of starts blaring his horn. I'm guessing he didn't have a clue that the ambulance was even there since he clammed up like a moron when it went tearing by us using the the hole I opened up. People need to be more aware of emergency vehicles, and get the hell out of the way. I'm sure he felt smart.

I agree,
they should put a V-Plow on the front, and ram the vehicles off the road.

Then send another Fire Truck to rescue them.

On sort of the same topic, if you're on a two-lane road and someone comes up behind you with their flashers on, do you pull over? This happened to me a couple of weeks ago and I did pull over because we weren't too far from a large hospital and I figured that's where they were heading, but no one else in the slow line of cars in front of me did. I ended up following right behind him and he did pull into the hospital entrance.

emergency vehicles drive on the wrong side of the road all the time in la. because of this you get the hell out of the way if you hear/see one coming.

drivers here have no skills

then need to front mount the cameras like the cops and record the $hit. just mail the offender the ticket.
