I purchased on on these for my kids and couldn't be happier.

I have not tried the OS so I cannot comment on it.

I FDISK'ed the drive, Put on Win98 on it and added some RAM.

Great for kids games or Parents/Grandparents E-mail/Web box.

All you really need is speakers and monitor. Comes with Keyboard and Mouse.

not bad at all. The 128MB of memory is a tad low but you can pick up a 512MB for $50 or less nowadays. Shouldn't need more then 512M as this will never be a gaming rig either.

They were selling this system for $99 a the Fry's grand opening in Indianapolis. I unfortunately missed out on it though.

I actually have mine running at 200MHz (400) FSB.

Spec is 166MHz (333).

Motherboard Specs

40 GB HDD is a Western Digital 7200 RPM

The Ram is a cheap PC2700 128MB (took it out and put in a 512MB pc3200)

CDROM is basic, loads programs and plays kids games. You can get a 16X DVD-+RW from Newegg for 51.99 + 2.99 shipping.

Runs nice but will never be a gaming rig......

I picked up one of these two weeks ago.
There are Windows drivers (on the SiS website) for everything except the modem. The modem driver (Modem is CNR, not PCI) is available on the ECS website, but I removed it before installing XP. Upgraded the RAM to 512mb PC2700 (the chipset won't run RAM at 400mhz, I think) and installed a Lite-On DVD-CDRW drive I had laying around.

I was VERY surprised that the 40gb hard drive was a Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 (next to latest generation), 7200 RPM. I expected the ultra-thin super-cheap Maxtor 5400RPM. Also, the quality of VGA out is surprisingly good. Beats a Soyo KM400 board I bought for another build in terms of video quality. With the SiS IDE drivers, the system actually feels pretty snappy

that mobo supports 200? and it runs agp and pci on correct speeds?

I got it at the Grand Opening for $99! I overclocked it to 2200 Mhz. Damn good overclocking chip. Only bad thing is no front USB ports.

For those with Frys near them, wait until the Memorial day sale. IT will likely be at $99 or $129. This is the low end system at Frys. Its much better than the Duron system they had last year.
