Actually, a couple of Democrats were supposed to go but Russia said they weren't allowed. Instead of uniting and standing together as AMERICANS and telling Russia that we all go or we don't go at all, the Republicans didn't do shit. When they got there all they did was ass kiss and they didn't bother bringing up any issues at all, such as invading Crimea, meddling in our election, or any number of things Russia has done in the past couple of years (poisoning people on our allies soil for example).

What talking points. It’s widely accepted now that Russia meddled in our election. The OP’s article explicitely says as much in non partisan terms:

“The U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee, dominated by Republicans sympathetic to Trump, found no conclusive evidence proving collusion. But House panel Republicans, in a report on April 27, did say that Russia ran an information warfare campaign to disrupt the election.”

The article is even surprisingly generous to Trump:

The lingering question is did the Trump campaign, or Trump himself, criminally collude with Russia, or did Trump obstruct investigations into said collusion. The Mueller investigation continues.
