These people are fighting and dying so some of you ungrateful jerks can get "hot deals". If it wasn't for our military, you wouldn't even have the opportunity....:|
I just want to say thanks to all the courageous men and women currently serving in the military, and to all of the brave soldiers that have given the ultimate sacrifice in order to protect our way of life.....

now there's an intelligent response. first of all, i bet you wouldn't feel the same if one hundred "innocent" american soldiers got "accidentally" run over. and what do you think many of the american soldiers did to vietnamese or korean women? i'm not trying to say that all american soldiers are bad or anything like that, but people in this country really need to open their eyes to the fact that not everything our military and government has done has been out of righteous moral responsibility. much of it has been for the absolute opposite actually. but obviously the media would never report on anything in which our actions affected other people in the world badly. plus, not only did this dude say that the lives of hundreds of people that he's never met are worthless, but he managed to make fun of both women and gay people in the same post. thank you so much for your constructive contribution to this thread. it's people like you who make me proud to be an american. (that was sarcasm if you didn't catch it.)

oh, and by the way, so what if the rest of the world is dependent on our economy? does that mean we should be able to do whatever we want to anyone else, no matter how negatively it affects them? doesn't that much economic power bring responsibility? but yet the majority of the people in this country know nothing and don't care to learn anything about the rest of the world. except for who the media says is bad this month and we should kill or overthrow.

I was just recently discharged from the Marine Corps due to disabilities and I know that I appreciate all the the efforts of the men and women of our armed forces. They are willing to put up the ultimate sacrifice to save our freedoms. If it wasn't for your Military and the people that have fought and died defending your freedoms throughout our nations history, who knows what flag we would be saluting right now?
