If they're looking to intercept one email then they're likely intercepting them all looking for that one so it wouldn't be hard for them to realize what you did.

if your going to send cc info over the internet using email, at least go to one of the email sites that offer email encryption. for example www.hushmail.com

But me personally I wouldn't be posting any kind of credit info directly into email message.

I wouldn't trust an online service, but I MIGHT do it if I had encryption on my email client. Even then, call an dgive the number (imho) if you trust that person.

Truthfully, I think the whole Online Credit Card safety thing is overated. Most of us hand our Credit Cards to strangers every day, who are free to copy both the number AND the CCV code. And thanks to hapless corporations and governments, who hand our private records over to hackers each day, there appear to be millions of credit card numbers already available to folks who want them.

The Internet introduced to this issue a variable that make it significally dangerous.

Part of the reason that none Internet commerce is relatively safe and in control, is because it is done within the USA and its jurisdiction, and you can be easily caught.

The problem is that over the Internet crime and fraud are committed without border boundaries, and there are countries that do not cooperate with International law system, and few countries that actually foster illegal commerce behavior toward the USA.

This only encourages bad habits. Just say NO to unencrypted payment processing information transmission, regardless of the false security implementations that Visa, et al, think they have implemented.
