I never got that cord noise with my Shures and they are canal earphones but I have really noticed that with the Senn CX300s. Not a big deal as I usually listen at my desk or in bed, however if you are planning to run or exercise with these, I could see it getting really annoying.
I was going to say the way shure IEMs are designed (the cord going around your earlobes) is often considered the best way to fight microphonics. When I first got my atrio m5s, I was pleased with everything except microphonics and how easily they fell out of your ear. Though they weren't really meant to be worn like shures do, I tried the same nonetheless and was very satisfied with the result. I never had any hands-on experience with these senns, but don't see why that shouldn't work on these.
Is the deal still on btw?
