Great headset btw, I had a pair for two yeard and they just recently died when a friend smashed the cord in a drawer. Probably fixable but I have no idea how so now i'm in the market for a new set

I've been looking for a solid pair of gaming phones (needs the mic for comms) without breaking the bank, this should do it. I had some Plantronics that, while seemed solid at first, just weren't that great now that I look back on them.

Tom's an idiot. We went with PC150s at the cafe instead of Audio 90s and they're great. Only knock on em is that the cord is thin, had one that broke (cord snapped right above volume control, some idiot yanked too hard).

Just read the review and it is terrible. I don't think he has a clue about anything audio related. I expected something to actually be said about the characteristics of the headphones in the sound quality section of each reviewed headset but instead I get some BS about sound positioning and no specifics. I guess I should have known I should stick to head-fi if I want actual information.

Well I am not judging Tom one way or the other but I have been through numerous pc headsets in my day and the Sennheiser PC 155s I had were the best, bar none, period. Amazing sound, and the best mic of any out there. I mean perfect clarity it was just amazing.

But like the person said above the cords are weak. Its honestly the stupidest thing I have ever seen. You take a headset and create it to the highest quality possible then you put a dinky ass cord on it. Mine broke, just by slightly pulling it out. It was not forced, it was just that weak. I would love to of kept em for the sound but considering how easily the cord broke once, I was very weary of trying it again.

I am still thinking about picking up another set, but I was hoping they would fix the HUGE issue first. And it is a huge issue, I mean this thing litterally broke by putting normal strength against it to pull the cord out, the one I had really was that weak. So if you get them make sure they are not where anyone can bump them, and make sure the cord does not get hung on anything and get pulled too hard or you will have a very nice headphones set without a way to connect them.

Oh and mine broke right above the connector.

I have one and i can personally say that its a major step over any platronics. They are durable since ive dropped them like 15000 times. The first time i dropped them i was all worried because platronics would break like that in a second. Now when i drop these i dont even care anymore lol. The cords on mine are just fine. Ive pulled them by accident a few times and nothin happens. I totally disagree with Toms review on these. Unless your like a super audiophile and nothing will get past u without perfection you will love these headsets. Perfect for gaming/music/movies.

I use these for counterstrike. These are the best headset you can get for the price. The next up headset that is decent are like another 30 to 40 bucks. I got mine off ecost in January for 29.99 + 5 ship + 1.99 hand = ~37 Great mic, very adjustable for the head and very reliable. Best sound you can get for under $40. The only weakness (that could be considered a weakness) are the cords. They're a little thin. And don't just toss them around cause you will damage them. I had one that I kept rolling over the cord w/ my pc chair and I sent it in to Sen which they repaired for free. I think it has a 1 or 2 yr covered.

I agree w/ aznanarchy. the platronics int his price range break VERY easily compared to these pc150s. Theyre great for gaming. Period.

This headset is great only thing is that the foam is very hard. My ears were hurting constantly when I first got them cause they would push against my earlobes. I put the phones around a big box to open them up a little and they're great now.
