I actually ended up getting the PX100 at Amazon for ~27 AR. They're open and sound better than the PX200's from what I'm read.

I wish this nice rebate was around a few months ago when I picked up some HD580s, but I was looking for some new headphones to use with my Zen, so not to bad.

Just watch out. I bought some Sennheisers last December (02) because of the good rebate available then, and they never sent me a check.

I just got these a few weeks ago...missed the rebate . They are really cool for closed portable cans. I use them in the library a lot because they isolate soound so well. I also use sennheiser mx300 earbuds and other senn cans (570's), and I think these are great...punchy bass and really crisp higher frequencies. The comfort isn't the best, but once you get them positioned correctly, they feel fine and stay on well.

I personally think the real deal here is on the HD590/HD600. $25 is a significant chunk off a $200 audiophile headphone. Just don't try either of these w/o an amp . . .

Dammit! I bought my PX200 from ecost last week for $32, this would have sweetened the pot. Unfortunately, the rebate form says all headphones purchased after November 15th, my order is dated November 12th. :frown: Oh well, still a good deal.

I got HD-580 last December from newegg, and the rebate has never came through, having said that newegg was not an authorized dealer (even though it is!). Then I called the rebate center to correct the problem, and the lady on the phone told me to check the status in two months. After two months, I called them, but the phone number for the rebate was not in use anymore. E-mailing Sennheiser is not helping either. I think there is no way for me to get the rebate. So, be careful with thier rebates.

Actuially, I'd prefer the Sony MDR-R10's with a good amp. About $4000 cheaper, and the sound is heavenly. Electrostatic headphones are, and always will be, lacking in the "oomph" department when compared to a good set of dynamic headphones.
