I woke up and the first tower had already been hit, I was glued to the TV while I was getting ready for one of my CCNA classes when the second tower was hit. I remember it being almost like it didn?t happen, like it was a dream or something. My mom started to cry and I felt sick to my stomach the whole day. While in class it was very somber, we just watched the news the whole time, no one said a word.

I will never forget that morning for as long as I live...

I was driving to school that morning, listening to it on the radio.

I can remember passing by other drivers, and just looking at each other, shaking our heads just kind of in awe and lost/confused at the same time. The campus was almost silent when I got there - I think I arrived after the 2nd plane had hit. When I got to my management class, the @$$hole was trying to teach! Not that anyone was paying attention, clicking away like hell trying to get a news site to load. Wasn't long after that a group of us just got up, walked out, and watched it down the hall. I think by my 2nd or 3rd class they cancelled the rest of classes, and I just drove home listening, watched the news, went to work where I...watched more news...things went on like that for awhile. Wasn't directly affected, but boy was it depressing for a good long time.

First tower: in honors english at SUNY Brockport
Second tower: back at my dorm room

I had no idea when the first tower was crashed into. I was walking back from my class and there were people crying and huddled all over...i knew something was wrong, but had no idea it was as bad as that...

I was driving to work and the sports guy on Lazer 103 (now 102.9 THe Hog) made a statement like "Hey look at that, the World Trade Center is on fire". That was before anyone knew what was really going on. Then once I got to work and more info came out, everyone got shocked. I pulled out a TV from a conference room and had it at my desk so everyone coudl watch for updates and such.

We were worrying about people we had en route to other cities on planes and such but nothing happen to anyone I know personally.

I was going into my managers office for our weekly meeting we always had (was help desk supervisor at the time) and the Lotus Notes admin got a call on his cell from his wife saying "a plane hit a building in NY" so we turned on the radio my manager had in his office and sure enough they were saying a plane hit one of the twin towers and they weren't sure if it was a small private plane that just went off course, so we all ran over to the lunch room which had a TV and were watching it showing where the first plane hit, and all the sudden a second plane hit!

We were all like "WTF!?!?!, How could a second plane "accidentally" hit the second building?!?!" and all came to realize that this was a terrorist attack, then we all gathered in the largest conference room we had there and on the projector we had the News going through on the wall and the whole company came in there just watching in awe, as we saw the first tower fall and will never forget the tears, gasp and crying of all the people in that room, we even had a few people in there watching that had realities that were working in the Twin Towers at that time , then the second tower fell and we all were just somber and zombie like starring at the huge projected image of the news in front of us, shortly after that we were all sent home

None of the cell phones were working and I had to try about 50 times just to get a hold of my friends and family. Since most people I knew got let out of work, we all gathered at my apartment and just all were fixated on that TV, I swear for what seemed like a month straight, every person I saw (including myself) was locked into any TV showing the news we could find. I even remember my friends birthday being Set. 23, we rented a hotel room to have a party for her and we all just sat in the room staring at the news on the TV while drinking our beers while every once in awhile someone would say "we just need to stop watching this stuff" and everyone would agree, but we'd just keep watching.

Very sad time there, I can only imagine that those that were more directly affected had it even so much worse.

Junior year of high school. Was visiting a nearby high school when they told us we had to leave NOW. Got back to my high school just in time to see the second plane hit on the library TV. I remember a few seconds after that just the world was surreal and I actually fell down on my knees and started praying right there, and a few moments later the vice prinicipal and a few other students had joined in prayer....bitter irony that we were a public school.

And I just remember how blue the sky was that day and how odd it was to not here airplanes oveheard(being that my high school was ~10 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport. I remember driving to the airport that day and just seeing all those planes just lined up with no place to go.

At the time of the incident, I remember working part time at my cafeteria when every channel was showing the twin towers on fire.
Hah, and I thought it was some new movie that they are making..,.

Immediately by half day we got an emergency holiday.

I was at home in bed sleeping. I worked nights at the time and my dad kept calling me up saying we were under attack. Knowing how he blows things out of proportion I kept hanging the phone up and sleeping. Someone else in the house woke me up once and told me we were under attack. They said I replied with "cool" and went back to sleep. I don't remember that one though.

I was a sophmore in HS. Coincidentally, it was the first day I chose to stay home from school that year. I woke up with a phone call: my mom "Turn on the tv, we're at war." She habitually overreacts so I downplayed the situation. I turned on the TV and caught the second plane going into the building.....

In my office outside of DC. One of my co-workers walked in and joked that he heard some idiot crashed his plane into the Trade Center (like a Cessna). I still remember the pit I got in my stomach beacause 1.) I remembered the first bombing attempt, and 2.) You don't just haphazardly fly into something that size.

Then I remember another co-worker of mine flying down the hallway with a panicked look on her face (never seen her run, ever) come to find later she had just been called about the Pentagon attack, which is where her husband worked. He got out fine though.

In some computer lab doing some work, then some guy who obviously wasn't doing the homework went "Oh snap! The World Trade Centers got bombed!"

I was in the Network Operations Center for a fortune 500 company where I worked at the time. One of my co-workers was listening to his headhphones as I returned from the coffee room and said that a plane flew into the WTC. I didn't believe him until I saw it for myself. A co-worker had brought in a TV and we watched it all day. That was the quietest week day I ever saw at that place. It was as though the everyone around the company stopped working.

I was walking through the student centre at the university and saw it on a TV that was hanging there. Everyone was just sitting there quitely watching it. Very, very weird feeling. It was almost silent in that room, and there were a good 500 people there.

In my sophomore english class. The principle came on the intercom, and our teacher turned on the TV.

It was very eerie.

I lived on the west coast, and I was just going to bed after working the 5p - 5a shift. The last thing I looked at was the Yahoo home page and showed the headline that a plane had hit the WTC. This was just after 6 am. I had no idea what was truly going on, so I went to bed.

I woke up at around 2:30 and turned on the TV to realize what had happened.

Bad times.
