Serious Sam gamespots game of the year!?!?!

I played this game among many others this year and Im shocked this beat out games like: RTCW, Max Payne, and many others! This game was fun but it lacked good multiplayer and variety.

Anyone else shocked? Head over to gamespot and check thier top ten. Post what you think is game of the year.

My game of the year would go to Max Payne. It was fun as hell and its one of the few games Ive played 2wice. Most games dont even get finished by me because the dont hold my interest.

I thought, think, Serious Sam beat the pants off Max Payne. MP actually bored me about half way through, but I'm still replaying SS.

Umm yeah, the multiplayer in Max Payne is fantastic. And talk about repetitive. Max Payne was crying for stealth missions and something other than 'see bad guy, shoot bad guy'. Serious Sam was similar in that regard but it was like 'see 300 bad guys coming over the hill. oh sh*t. better start shooting'. And it had wacky monsters and weapons. Realism can get boring sometimes.

I would definitely put Serious Sam in the top 2 along with RTCW for games released this year.

This game isnt a FPS and wasent about replay value, FPS with a crappy multiplayer gets game of the year?!?....LOL. I like serious sam alot, dont get me wrong, I just think its not game of the year....maybe in the top ten but thats bout it.

Max Payne had a good feel to it, good story, and was FUN to play. RTCW was really good too...but if you like the multiplayer and have halflife...just download day of defeat. Ive had RTCW for 2 weeks and already starting to get tired of it. Serious Sam was the Same way except there was crappy multi Player.

Serious Sam was certainly a great game but I wouldn't say it was game of the year. My vote would probably go to RTCW.

It's good to see Undying getting a lot of awards. That game is probably one of the most under-appreciated games ever made and it saddens me to see that there will not be a sequel.

I LOVED that game. There were parts in that game that were scary enough to make me jump out of my chair. And the whole time I played I had the chills. Great game

I thought Giants should have gotten some more(?) awards. I really thought it was a high quality game, and game different characters for variety.
I also really like Serious Sam, but I'd vote for Q3A if I could, I know, I know
I really havn't gotten into Undying, I guess I'll reinstall it and give it a look-see.

Undying was definatly creepy. Something about the old english style feel it had to it...turned me off. It freaked me out tho!

Actually Giants came out last year. But, in my opinion the game started out great (with the mecs) and then it seemed like the developers rushed at the end to finish the game. It didn't feel right at the end. God game though, but dissapointed at the end.

Sacrifice is awesome!!! That game should have sold better, but it didn't! I think it was because it was to hard and hectic for most people. But it had the best visuals out there.

This game is simply amazing. And here is what lies with the problems of PC gaming. No advertising!! A lot of people didn't know this game existed! It's up there with System shock 2 as real dissapointments in the fact that of the attention it didn't receive!
