I'm with you.
I'd rather listen to the crapiest rock than the best trance.

Happy days.

It's different for me. It takes me back to when I first started coding, because the constant beat would literally put me in a trance; I would zone out so completely that I'd have hours of concentration time. I was exposed to Chicane first through Offshore, like many people.
Delerium remains my favorite group of all time, but they're not really trance (although they've changed so much over the years they're in many genres).

Absolutely - Delerium's "Silence" (Tiesto/Airscape remix) was played for the first time in the UK in a club I was at. Some people had heard it before on bootleg vinyl, but the effect still brings a tear of happiness to my eye just thinking about it.
Basically, the club's a converted theatre in Camden, London. You're free to walk around as you please.
Anyway, as the tune was being played, the entire club was singing along; and I do mean everyone. The only other time I've been subjected to a full-on body rush* like that was when they played Faithless - Insomnia, and I swear that the whole place moved when the beat came back.
