Seriously Heroes is like the worst show ever

When I initially started watching Heroes it was turning out to be a pretty good show. Towards the end of season one it got a bit iffy but I had a positive outlook on the 2nd season. The 2nd season was pretty bad, but it was also cut short due to the writers guild problems etc, so I gave it a pass. Now I just started watching season 3 and this show has to be the worst thing ever created.

There is just so much I can say about why it's terrible, but I won't even bother, waste of cyber type finger mana. I'm on like episode 14 and I doubt I will continue it till the end, unless someone thinks the show is worthy and I should continue?

Season 3 summary:

Oh wow, my dad is not dead, it turns out he's super powerful and can destroy anyone. My dad hates everyone, and will kill his own family. Clair is needed though cuz like she has a super code that completes the formula. Then Mohindar makes a spider web, while Peter's mom tells Sylar he's her son. Hiro is useless, African guy makes a shit paste for them to eat, dies, etc. Hey, let's jump around the future/past now, oh no, we fucked up, why can't we just try again? Who knows? Wait, Nathan is now the leader and is a bit retarded. What happened to the black oreo kid that controlled electronics? Why doesn't Peter just try to obtain every single super power available and own everyone?

Now I'm on episosde 14...

Season one was good, had lots of potential but ended weakly.

Season two was abysmally bad, the writers strike didn't cause the issue it saved the show from getting that much worse.

First half of season three was pretty subpar. They brought back the original guy that wrote (or created or was somehow involved) in the first season and he cleaned house and straightened stuff out. Season three never approached season one but surpassed season two.

That guy is gone again for season four, it will likely absolutely suck.

The show has a few deeply rooted issues that will never go away.

1) They have a character that can time travel and that breaks alot of stuff.
2) They have not one but two characters that can gain other peoples powers and yet despite the plethora of things they can do they typically don't make full use.
3) The cheerleader is *always* the answer. If there is an important hero that will need protecting but you don't yet know who it is, it is the cheerleader.
4) Every character aside from one or two has the iq of broccoli.
5) Almost no one on the show can act at all.

Haven't decided yet if I'll bother checking out season four at all.

I liked the first season but after that, it started to flounder. It reminds me of Lost; it started out good and seemed like it was going somewhere, but they wouldn't let it get there for fear that it would then have to stop.

I watched and liked the first season, but after the first episode of the second season I just gave up. Never looked at the series again.

Season one was interesting. I watched a lot of season 2 and it was slipping badly, but I cut it some slack due to the writers strike and hoped they would turn it around in season 3. Managed to watch the first couple of episodes of S3 and it sucked even worse than S2, so I quit. Lost too, clever original concepts that just lost their way and started tossing silly plot arcs around randomly in the hopes something good would turn up.

i find this anti-Lost sentiment odd... especially concerning the later seasons. After borrowing them from a friend i just went through seasons 1-4 in the last month or so. I would say the story gets better the further you get into the show.

We (wife and I) watched season 1 & 2 but couldn't stomach anymore after that.

I've half debated renting them on DVD and watching them through though but I always here it never got any better...

The second half of season 3 (aka starting from "Cold Snap" to the end) is far better than season two. You can pretty much skip the first part of season 3 though.
