Server and Computer?

What is the difference between a Server and a regular Computer? I'm a newbie so dont chew me out please.

A computer or device on a network that manages network resources. For example, a file server is a computer and storage device dedicated to storing files. Any user on the network can store files on the server. A print server is a computer that manages one or more printers, and a network server is a computer that manages network traffic. A database server is a computer system that processes database queries.
Servers are often dedicated, meaning that they perform no other tasks besides their server tasks. On multiprocessing operating systems, however, a single computer can execute several programs at once. A server in this case could refer to the program that is managing resources rather than the entire computer.

And to compliment saltedeggman's excellent answer, real server also sports more expensive and reliable hardware.
Such as Athlon Opteron or Intel Xeon processor, that is designed with reliability in mind (with price to boot)
SCSI hard drives (that are designed to provide at least three years of 24x7 service on a controlled environment -> air conditioned)
Certain brand optical drives that are very common to ensure maximum compatibility with the server operating system that it is running
Server operating systems such as Windows Server, SQL Server, Linux Enterprise Server, Netware, etc...

These are way different that regular PCs, but we are seeing more and more of server hardware being taken up by enthusiast to fit in their PCs
