Service Net warranty or manufacturer's?

Hey, I'm looking to buy this laptop:

and I'm wondering how good the offered Service Net warranties are compared to the manufacturer's? I can't compare them since apparently you actually need the product's serial number to even access the warranty pages, so anyone have any experience with either the Service Net's warranty or Acer's for laptops?

A few things about extending warranty...

First thing is that extended warranties are a HUGE money maker for companies offering them. What does that tell you? Unless it has accident coverage, likely most claims will be denied, as "warranty" is for items that fail due to failing, not fail due to being bumped, dropped, spilled on or sat on.

Is that "2-year extended warranty" for 2 years total, or 2 years BEYOND the manufacturer's warranty? You might think to yourself, "one year manufacturer + two years extended = 3 years total coverage" but it might only be 2 years total.

Check your credit card. Some credit cards offer free automatic extended warranties if you purchase the entire item on the card (and have no late payments). For instance my MasterCard offers doubling the manufacturer's warranty up to 1 year, so something with a 90-day warranty would be extended to 180 days and something with a 1 year would be extended to 2 years, but nothing beyond that.

Well the item in question is a laptop, so they're not the easiest to fix if something goes wrong, not to mention if accidental damage happens. For all desktop parts I wouldn't get extended warranties at all, but that's because those can easily be replaced whereas laptop parts may not be the case.
