SETI Classic - We need help

As some of you may know, a member with a lot of wu left TA yesterday and joined bbr for good. This moved us back a spot to 6th place and we are now 144,112wu behind bbr.

From the latest SETI news we know that SETI Classic will end early 2005, and as of lately VERY VERY early... So we have +- a month, maybe a little more left.

SO I'm calling on TeAm AnandTech members to consider running SETI classic for the little time it has left...or at least till we are in the lead again. I'll die if we finish behind bbr and we didn't at least try and get our 5th spot back! After all we've been through and after this, I'm asking very nicely that we all think about kicking some ass!!! This kinda thing has happened before, and we've ALWAYS been victorious in our efforts. We CAN do this people cause we are TeAm AnandTech!!!

I'm gonna do everything I can, so plz if you've got any hidden talents bring it on and lets show everybody one final time that TA RULES!!!

edit: and I switched my main cruncher to seti from f@h for a while. (10 Wu's a day give or take)

When I follow the link "SETI@home" in your signature and then follow this link "*NEW*Windows SETI Install Guide", I can't get the link to the CLI to work.

It seems as if they have moved the file...

Is there anywhere else I can get that file, that you know of? As I rememeber the 3.03 version is the fastest one, right?

It's now up and running.
For the moment I will switch back to F@H to finish the two 600 point WU's it's working on, but when those are finished I will lend a helping CPU.

No, in BOINC you get "team-credit" and "personal credit" at the same time. The "personal credit" is of course your own, regardless of how often you move teams. The "team-credit" on the other hand can't move, this also means if you're not part of a team no team gets this credit.

I have taken my work machine off of D20L (for the moment) and will start up Seti on the webserver at home. We are also getting some more test machines soon, so they will need to be burnt in..

Basically we need all of TA to do this (&amp; yeah I mean from other projects) ,I realise this means that those projects lose out for a while ,but not for long ,I'd love to give ya a date to make this easier but we can't atm ,however its looking like S@H1 will be killed off next month.After that I know some help will be returned

Inccidently they have the new hardware needed to switch everyone from S@H1 to 2! ,they've just got to set it up AFAIK

I wish SETI could give as at least a particular week if not a precise date.

And darn it I'd just got back into DPAD with my 2nd rig! ,guess I'll be switching it back to SETI for a bit.
I also have a rig here I'm building for someone ,its not much ,an XP2200 but it could do with some burning in

Btw DPAD team ,I'll be switching back with more than 1 rig when this is over
