During the last mass mailing it took two weeks to get through all the email addresses. I suspect it'll be two weeks before everyone receives an email.

Well, they haven't specified the exact hour yet, but it should be somewhere between 00:00 GMT and 23:59 Berkeley-time...



Anyway, updated Technical News, among other things mentioning they've now sent emails to all "active" crunchers, and just started on the rest...

I just got an email from the SETI Web folks telling me to switch over to the BOINC project.

"We'll be shutting down the "SETI@home Classic" project on December 15. The
workunit totals of users and teams will be frozen at that point, and the final totals
will be available on the web."

The underlined part(by me) was to draw your attention to that being the end of when you can submit your completed workunits, so there's no point to keeping any more than what you can crunch in your caches anyway.
