Welcome to the SETI@Home Wow!-Event, Mg-purist!

Could me move up another spot in the standings now?

Has been a long time no post

The Hobbit site has always been hosted by a friend of Binky's. I helped with the initial design and did some up dating from time to time but have never hosted it.
Too bad it's down but I don't think it was used much. No one has been maintaining it that I am aware of.
Most activity is right here in the forums and much of the Team info moved on to teamanadtech.com. Lots of sites have come and gone. Maybe it was time to let this one pass.

That's why it looked so familiar

Looks familiar too

SETI doesn't care if a Nvidia is paired with a CPU or an Amd or an Intel, or...

A normal wu is only sent out twice, if majority of your wu's has been sent-out 3 times before they're validated I would take a look if you've got some problem with your computer...

Thanks Boss. I don't typically look at my tasks in detail, but I can confirm what you already know and have said about the WU not being platform specific, and yep, 61 of 76 inconclusive WU's are from one GPU. Bummer.

Looks like we may be able to move to 8th as a TeAm, and GLeeM is catching me , so I've gone back to CPUs in addition to GPUs.

Replacement MB came in for WUSS, so she's online now too.

Stoke the fires boys! Throw in some more coal! The end is near!

I was so looking forward to Italy, and it all happened so fast...now it's all behind me.

In other words, Congarats to the TeAm for surpassing BOINC.Italy and securing 8th place!!

I got two i5-4590s with integrated INTEL 4600 graphs to participate yesterday.

They will help us to stay ahead of Italy!

On a side note - I LOVE Italy. Everyone should visit this beautiful country in their lifetime. Gorgeous. Avoid big cities, tourist centres.. ;-)

The TeAm is still in 8th. Italy has dropped to 10th, but I don't think EVGA is going to catch us.

We have 4 members in the top 100, I've gunned the throttle, taking advantage of some cool weather, and am hoping to get into the top 50.

Crunch on!

Sprint to the finish line!

Quite frankly, I'm getting tired of maintaining 30+ PCs spread out over four city blocks.

My poor little laptop's fan keeps churning, it hasn't turned off in three weeks.

He needs a rest! ()

The thread has rolled off the first two pages, but there was once a thread on how everyone manages their fleet. I believe it was GLeeM who suggested TeamViewer.com. I finally got around to using it this week, and I love it. Might help if you're not already using it or some similar management software.

3/4's of a day left for me to crank out 23,500 more points than number 50.....If I'm to make it to the top 50. Actually, that would make it a tie, so 23,501!

:\

:hmm: :hmm:

:sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky:

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

More, more, more...........

If you could bottle this enthusiasm, I would buy a couple of bottles.

I hope you make it Tony.

That, and the fact that the group is now 70 souls strong........well, 67 really, that have submitted points.

Yes Toni, I have been using TeamViewer.

I like it a lot, but it doesn't help much if the office staff (some of them are three shifts) have different ideas on how a PC is supposed to be used - like turning it off at the end of the day to give it a 'rest.'

Others flat out refuse to run BOINC, claiming it 'eats' their work and much more such nonsense. So I comply, even though the boss has nothing against it.

Gotta keep the worker bees happy!

YOU CALLING ME A GIRL!? j/k

Well I've made it to 50th, with a bit of a buffer zone, but I'm sure SuperDave has a couple thousand tasks awaiting validation, same as I do, so who knows what might happen in the next three and a half hours. I prefer PrimeGrid's more linear 'instant' scoring system.

And this race is now over.

The TeAm had 14 registered, 13 who contributed, and took on the remainder of the 885 participants, and...

The TeAm finished in 8th place! Well done all!
We finished ahead of some major teams too, such as SETI.USA, China, USA, Overclock.net, and EVGA, most who had many more registered members.

We also had 4 members who finished in the top 100 (of 885).
Pokey finished in 22nd, with a whopping 2,768,305 points
10esseeTony (me) finished 50th, with 1,368,653 points
GLeeM fininshed 63rd, with 1,173,397 points
And biodoc was 84th, with 840,118 points

The TeAm total was an amazing 9,428,555!
Event total was lower than last year, 298,109,099, but my understanding is that S@H reduced their points awarded since last years race.
The TeAm's contribution was 3.16% of the total.

Again, congrats to all!
