2 ??.. 289.9 ?.. bazilla

Did you have a low output week?

I'll bump it by 100WUs if that is the more accurate daily count. I do want to be as close to accurate as possible, in order to setup the mini-teams as close to each other's output as possible.

Yeah, that number probably reflects the week I turned my queue off early. So if you were to take an average from the following week, it would be abnormally high. If you look at the stats posted here.

you'll see my averaging nearly 400 WU's a day. You'll have to ask Wiz or Smokeball exactly how that average is determined; my guess is that it is a two week moving average, so it will smooth out the kind of discrepancies you get with averages based static weekly results.

Knowing my own capabilities, that ~400 a day average will be hard to sustain now that school is back in session. I'll do good to average 380, and would suggest that as the average to use in forming teams. But because of the sheer size of my fleet, and how much my output can vary, if there is any doubt about what is fair, go with 390. If I cannot maintain 390 with the existing fleet, using that as my average for team formation just might give me the incentive necessary to assimilate a couple of more 'puters.

I can work with that.

Strider7, you are added.

BTW, thanks for that.

PraetorianGuards, we are only concerned with WUs that have been processed are are ready to send to Berkeley uncrunched WUs are OK to queue up. We just don't want someone to dump 1000 WUs the first day of the race because they have been saving them up for a week and give their team an unfair advantage. They will then have to deal with me, my wrath, and my titanium cane.

Also, I have started putting averages in for those who I could find Here

Sorry, I don't know everyone's SETI name vs their TA name.

So be sure and review, PM me or post here with the average. I will need to know the SETI User id in order to setup the MTR stats.

You bet your sweet bippy The TeAm wants to play.

Sign me up !

I think I'm actually doing around 40 WUs per day but I'm not sure to maintain this output.

Argh....an MTR......!!!

Haven't missed one yet....but I am concentrating my efforts on Seventeen or Bust at the moment, dropping my output over to Seti would drop us about 2% in the daily work...and we need that to keep ahead of TeamPrimeRib (ArsTechnica)

Unfortunately, you will have to count me out of this MTR, sorry i'll be missing it!

Garry,
Sorry you'll miss the MTR, but as I stated, I don't want to see the other DC projects hurt by the MTR.

Looks like a good turnout for the race! I wanted to let all of you know why I don't get involved in races anymore. I travel all the time. My fleet is all personal boxes and a good portion of the production is at my house. I am only back here every other weekend as a general rule. Sometimes I've flown out of town only to find that we had a power outage and all my boxes are down. Or, a breaker has tripped killing all production. My stuff is on UPS, but the time is limited. I have gotten my wife to reset stuff, but she hates to do it! So, I've started leaving things down if it is only one or two machines. On this last trip I lost about 70 WU due to a big cruncher hanging.

I guess my problem is that I take the races too seriously. Thus, adding stress that I don't need. So, I'll watch your progress and cheer you on, all the while submitting all the WUs that I can to help the TeAm. Good luck to all the MTR racers!

Welcome to the MTR, SoulAssassin.

Nah, it's not too late. I had the mini-teams all figured out earlier, outputs were within 2 WUs of each other, until I realized I had missed a teammate with a significant output.

So, I'm in the midst of redoing it, so it's no problem to add you.

Sorry it's taking so long guys.

Just to be fair, my production might be a little higher than that average because I added a new system to the fleet. My new system adds about 13 WU's per day but I also sold my brother a system that did about 4 WU's per day.

So... You could add ~9 WU/day to my average.

Let's get it on! Reagan has suggested a good name for our team (Team 5) and I'm looking forward to competing with the other teams.

Thanks for assigning the teams Ray, good job!

/me *whacks* Robor. NOW you tell me. :| Sure, let the WU averages sit posted here for a week, and only AFTER I assign the teams, do you let me know your average might be off. grrrr. *sigh*

Gotta love your honesty though. (<--- and that's one of the reasons Robor's elite, and TA has the best team mates bar none. )

I plan on doing a final look see after Smokeballs weekly average comes out.

BTW, you can start the mini team naming threads!

I know, I know. It's just that I added a machine and made sure all of my work fleet was up over the weekend. I worked late on Friday so before I left I turned on all of the user clients that like to shut their machines down overnight. My production is actually closer to 200 under "perfect conditions". Just wanted to be fair in the race.

Don't froget to account for last minute dumps to clear queues. That could skew peoples numbers (like mine)

Everyone is supposed to dump their Qs prior to the race! (but I'll keep an eye on them, just the same.

Soni's MTR stats manager allows me to "adjust" a mini-teams stats, just in case, as sometimes things happen that are out of people's control, and the dump can't be avoided.
