Following his compadre's lead from yesterday, ConfusedBW, the British Bulldog, takes the first crown in Another Race to 1000, throwing a little smackdown on everyone's head as he produces nearly 400 workunits for TA-Seti, and leaves the remaining racers choking on a fowl mixture of exhaust fumes and dust. LadyStarDust's early concerns over whether or not the young gentleman from Colchester would be able to keep up were obviously unfounded. Congratulations, ConfusedBW! Move over Hack, Robor, Bazilla and Cobra. There's a new sheriff in town!
The USS Baz has now entered a new level of production excellence as well, covering nearly 300 parsecs per day. Even with the discovery of Captain OD's secret weapon in his closet among Seven's toys, there is no way in the Apha Quadrant that the USS Ohio or the USS Poop would be able to deliver the pasting to Captain blcjr at Archer IV they were so looking forward to. Looks like yet another defeat for the USS Ohio in the cold, lonely darkness of space.
Now less than 100 wu's behind, Networkman continues his dogged pursuit of SirAllen. Sporting an average that should make this a very interesting race from here on out, NWM is beginning to kick up some serious dust on the road to 11,000. The Race to Catch Assimilator1 sees our Hawaiian friend making his run, churning out 74 wu's and now sitting only 81 workunits behind the Tortoise. Polo's little turtle had best be saving up for a large dump. In the Race to Catch def, Mad Max has his second outstanding day in a row, improving on yesterday's performand by six wu's. Let's hope that the Crunchin' Canadian can keep this type of performance going and provide def with a few sleepless nights in the days to come.
TWTA is picking up speed and beginning to chew up dark matter at an alarming rate in the Battle for Galactic Dominance, nearly doubling the production of Admiral Engineer who gets to add another milestone notch to his phaser belt as The Federation just passed the 2000 sector marker. Let's go, Gul Dukat. Where's that Cardassian grit? A quick look at the Race to 2000 shows us that the Great Dane is just refusing to give in to the relentless pressure being applied from behind by Baldy18, and a fine performance by serialb in Another Race to 1000 was just a wee bit overshadowed by the astounding work of ConfusedBW.
Hooray! Eltano1 is now out of the pits and roaring around the track in the YART 1000. Unfortunately for the Man from Miami, thecool1 has built up a comfortable lead, having taken advantage of Eltano's recent misfortunes, with only 95 laps left to go. And finally today, the Marathon to 1000 sees the field begin to tighten up as Tarca continues to struggle with his fleet. An excellent day by Kruptikos allows him to pull to within 16 wu's of Panhead49 who is currently running in the second position. Meanwhile, ShotgunSteve completes lap 250 to earn his second Seti milestone trophy, and the newcomer PieDerro brings up the rear.
