Today three more warriors join the ranks of the heralded and honored who have earned their stripes on the field of valor and duty.
The Race to 9000 crowns yet another winner as Muckity Mucman, one of our beloved Canadian Contigent roars his rigs across the finish line, taking the checkered flag to a standing ovation from the sell-out crowd taking in the action at the last way station before the glorious 10K milestone marker. The munching maniac from the True North, his averages well above the 20 wu per day mark, waves through the double-plexiglass barrier of his rig's pilot house as he steers the machine towards the winner's circle for the presentation of his 9th golden K-Key. Turning over the keys to his racing rig to his crew chief, mucman receives his awards and takes the traditional swig of Mt. Dew that all winners partake of as they receive their well deserved awards. After a kiss from one of the race babes, Muckity Mucman is hardly able to contain his excitement as he nearly sprints to the door of the lounge where his physics dreams will come true in the hottub, surrounded by the most brilliant minds to ever fill out a swimsuit. Congratultations, mucman!
Today is the day that Canadians everywhere rejoice and make a joyful noise unto the heavens for two of their native sons have made their mark in the SRL. Snap! Crackle! Pop! 3000 WU's for Breakfast officially comes to a close as Yield takes the checkered flag after a long and protracted battle against a number of talented foes. Whether a racer crosses the finish line first, or he crosses last, it is cause for celebration in the TA-Seti ranks for a teammate has made all of us proud. Crunching 3000 workunits in such a short period of time is impressive indeed and the joyous celebration will include plenty of beer, Oreos, beer, sourdough pretzel nuggets, beer, physics lessons, and beer, the same as if brave Yield had crossed the finish line first. Congratulations, Yield!
Our final winner this morning is none other than the ever popular Evadman, he of MTR stats fame who earns a few smooches from the race babes at the finish line. Long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the Race to 750 began amidst great pomp and circumstance, a field filled with veteran racing talent with a few rookies thrown in for good measure. One after another, the racers zoomed across the finish line to the cheers of the mammoth crowds that pack all SRL events. One, two, three racers took their turns in the winners circle and enjoyed the intellectual stimulations from the race babes that go hand in hand with being labeled an SRL winner. Soon, the fourth and fifth racers crossed the finish line and that left only one on the track, by himself, racing for all he was worth, and that lone racer was Evadman. The crowd stomped and cheered for the lonely racer. They threw flowers and SDRAM in his path to show their appreciation for his stellar effort, and Evaderman smiled in return as he picked up their gifts of adoration and respect. And as the sputtering rig finally took the checkered flag, the crowd burst forth with a thunderous ovation the likes of which have never been heard before, for deep down in every SRL follower's heart, they are an Evadman fan. Congratulations, Evadman!
