Five inches of snow yesterday. Two inches of sleet last night. Right now, it's 31 degrees and raining. The area glistens and glimmers with a lovely coating of ICE. :disgust:
The Race to Crunch 1000 with a Crazee Twist remains one jumbled up mess. It's difficult to tell who's leading. Well actually it's not. Tuffguy is threatening to run away with the prize, his average remaining several wu's above the 20 mark on a daily basis. Even though Crazee remains in front, his goal is 1000 workunits further down the road than the remaining racers. The Great Dane and his team run exactly 15 workunits through their grinders to match the pre-race requisite. Unfortunately, that daily production puts him near the bottom of the pack as far as today's numbers go. Fardy, Micron, and Max well exceed their pre-race predictions, while the remaining racers struggle to keep up and the Evader needs to get those new parts put together and crunching in a hurry lest he lose any more ground to the accelerating pack.
The May Mauling to 2500 continues on course, with the top four racers showing the racing public that they are indeed very evenly matched. Trailer nemur, with the largest amount of distance to make up, smashes a very impressive 22 to earn a smilie and shorten his deficit behind Maggotry to under 200 wu's while bbarnes remains in double digits. KCJeeper and the Dominator match each other's performance with 27 wu's each in the Race to 3000, but unfortunately for Domination, the Jeep Dude is only about a day from his date with Seti racing destiny (and the hottub babes). The Sinister Oscillator is charging hard in the Race to 5000 and now sits 336 workunits behind the British Bulldogs. With less than 500 wu's to go, this one could get quite interesting in the very near future.
Another smilie for the Crabby in the Kewl and Crabby Race to 6000, but m2kewl flirts with the century mark after a monster 94 gets punched on his Berkeley race ticket. While still over 1700 behind the Alaskan King Crustacian, titanesque dailies like that can slice the deficit down in a hurry. Major Tom Tarca is still adding a lot of distinctiveness to his own in Two Borgies and a Cardy Racing to 8000 and it sadly appears that Gul Dukat has left the building, having been flat-lined for the last several days. GreatWhiteNorth gives his fans a reason to cheer, and there are a lot of GWN fans, as he smashes up 74 packets in the Race to 10,000 and Captain Skoopa keeps the pressure on Captain Scott, pushing his well-plasma-ed star cruiser at near the 60 parsec per day mark.
