Race officials and fans alike at Snap! Crackle! Pop! 3000 WU's for Breakfast are scrambling around searching for lost programs, newspapers, handicapping forms and various articles of clothing that were blown hither and yonder by the wu blast that just hit the track area. After emptying a full can of nitrous directly into the dual Holley carbs on the big block El Camino, the defster hit the gas and vaulted forward, exploding out to a 139 wu lead over Yield who could be seen in the cockpit of his racing rig, eyes wide, and jaw agape after witnessing the rogue racer's 241 wu typhoon. The father of the "Dupe N' Dump" maneuver, unpredictability has been the defster's calling card throughout his SRL career, but that's why every race he runs is a sellout and why you see so many "Def Rulez!" tee shirts in the stands and at SRL physics parties the world over.
Action aplenty still in the SETI 500 at Tarca Speedway where Baldy18 has blasted back into the lead by two over Assimilator1. And none too pleased was the great Shaved Head about the roofing nails he had to maneuver around, either. Rolling down the window of his driver's compartment as he slid by, Baldy18 pulls out his trademark razor and carves a little trail up the back of Assimilator1's head as payback. These two have developed quite a rivalry in recent weeks and heart-stopping action is the order of the day in their race. Meanwhile, late comer Networkman methodically carves away at the deficit between his munching machines and the dynamic duo at the front of the pack, yesterday cresting the 30 wu mark and drawing to within 55 of the second place racer.
Speaking of action, more can be found in the Race to 750, but today let's turn our attention to the third, fourth, and fifth slots where Evaderman, Space Noggin', and Krupie are in the midst of an epic battle for third place. With only 31 wu's separating the three packet pugilists, this trio has captured the fancy of the track-side crowd. Zappin' Zod is zappin' the wu's at a frenetic pace in the Way Cool Race to Crunch 3000. Hitting the 90 wu mark for yet another day, the Sheriff is giving Major Tom a major headache while the Sinister Oscillator struggles to keep pace with the leaders. Way to hang in there, Wobbs!
With Commander Smoke back in command of his rag tag army of crunchers and crunchettes, Team Smokeball is marching once again on the double quick which could be bad news for M2kewl. Falling under the century mark for the first time in quite a while, Kewlie's Krew sees their deficit grow to 62, but there's still a longggggggg way to go in this one. LiveLongAndProsper is prospering quite well in both of his races. Still in the trailing position in both the Race to 8000 and the Race to 9000, LL&P is relentless in his demonic dumping, yesterday cresting 100 and topping out at 120 to earn a shockie award for the effort. And speaking of shockies, take a gander at the the Lonely Racer's bracket where Gertrude, the Shockie Fairie was kept quite busy handing out her coveted awards overnight.
