SETI - Race to crunch 1500?

Hi All

Just wondering if any of you would like to race? Micron and I would like to race to crunch around 1500 WUs. Would anyone else like to join in?

If you'd like a guideline I'm going to be producing around 18 WUs a day if current output remains constant.

I'll probably manage around 20 wus a day Minendo. To be honest I am OK with anyone joining in, regardless of output (extreme cases can take a handicap afterall )

Well then count me in. My average is like 20.1 a day or something like that.

Edit - since we are well into the time period that will be reported as 'Race stats for 23rd May', how about we begin the race using data from today onwards (thats Friday's stats, which are reported on Saturday). Is that OK with everyone?

Just so everyone knows, that means the race will actually begin at 6:30 AM EST (11:30 AM GMT) on Friday, May 24. First reported stats will be Saturday, May 25.



Where you want to race to? 1000? 1500? 2000?

Ok Freewolf, lets work this out. Assuming someone has a WU output of 20 a day (like most of us) , then 1500 WUs would be completed in 75 days. An output of 28 a day (as suggeted by ohiodude ) would complete 1500 WUs in 53 days. We need to give you an extra 22 days of crunching. 22 days of crunching at 28 WUs a day is 616 WUs. So call the handicap 600 WUs.

Is that acceptable for you? Anyone else have any objections?
