I might be able to get more speed since I haven't tried changing the multiplier, and I think my RAM is still running at stock speed 133/266.

Nice WU times your getting ,especially seeing as you running your RAM at 133MHz!.

I have the same RAM in my rig & its running at 152MHz CAS 2-2-2-6 ,if you were to set your RAM/FSB ratio to 1:1 (133/133),set CAS 2-2-2 & then increase the FSB until you find the RAMs limit ,assuming you could also hit 152MHz if you then upped the mulitplier to x14 you'd most likely end up with faster WU times even though the cpu clock is a little lower.

The only think I know 100% for sure is my production is legit. That's all I'm 100% sure of and it sucks. The cheaters have ruined SETI for me. To be honest I no longer care where we or I finish. I want the team to do well and grow but the reailty is the entire project is tainted as far as statistics are concerned and I don't approve of the way Berkeley handles the caught cheaters. They treat them with "kid gloves" and remove suspicious WU's rather than just delete their account completely. Answer me this... What's the deterent in that?

I realize that statistics are not the most important part of the project (the science is) but most SETI users are in it for just that. That said, if the statistics can't be trusted, what's the point? IMO that's why you see the SETI team suffering right now. People got a bitter taste from the cheats and moved to other projects. I know that's how I feel anyway. For 3+ years my CPU power was 99% SETI. Now it's about 60% and going down from there.

The cheaters should upset the entire SETI community. They aren't cheating our teams, they're cheating SETI. That's what is really troubling. Keeping having fun with it! You're helping out SETI, and that is our primary goal.
Great to see this kind of spark for the project. Congrats on your first post and welcome to the TeAm!

I don't think you are wrong, Freewolf. The "MYURL" link in MacBridger's sig points to the BBR SETI forum.

Well, I just moved my account over from the group it was with before, that's 1081 data units credited to TeAm Anandtech. Unfortunately, due to being between houses, I have no 'net access at home.

Would just like to point out that "The Ministry of Serendipity" @ Overclockers.co.uk has had his account check and cleared as OK by David Anderson @ SETI.

Hi Chsh 1ca,

Welcome to the TeAm!

Where is(are) the computer(s) located.

You might be able to use a "Sneaker-Net" setup if one of your computers has internet access (like the one you are using now ).

Thanks for that info, Crow.

That is just awesome production. It is hard to imagine what kind of computer power it takes to put out those kinds of numbers? :Q

BTW, the link in your sigline is not working?

I can answer that one. He was investigated in the TLC lead witch hunt, and cleared then. You'd have to take a look through the suspicious accounts thread there however to find the exact person.

TLC Suspicious Accounts

The most important in this regard is this:
by Feek:
No problem.

"Preliminary indications are that he's legit.
But we'll keep an eye on him.
-- David"

That's good enough for me.

Thank you Sir,

The information you provided looks as legit as could be!

Unless I receive info to the contrary.

Ministry of Serendipity (MoS) is clear as far as I am concerned.

And congratulations on having such a prolific producer on your team...
It's nice to see that level of production that isn't tainted.

Thank you.

Dr Anderson also replied to an email from me regarding MoS last Saturday, giving an answer to the same effect of the one he gave Feek. I had no idea he wasn't communicating with you guys. Maybe you shouldn't write such long emails?

Seriously though, I am glad everything seems to be working out. I have been reading the threads over here with great interest.

Thanks for that link, Rattledagger. I tried to find that thread earlier in the week without success. I've been reading for over an hour trying to catch up and still have 6 more pages to go. :Q

The Ministry of Serendipity account does appear to be one awesome crunch. I, of course, accept the findings of Dr. Anderson but I would still like to know what kind of computer power is being applied to generate that kind of production. It would be "fun" to find out.

We've had a lot of "comings" and "goings" this week so I'm not sure if my Top 25 TeAm Analysis will be all that accurate but I will update it over the weekend as is my usual practice.

Yes, the suspicion-thread is long.
But, AFAIK it haven't been out of the 1st page, so it shouldn't be so difficult to find.

Hmm, I see The Ministry of Serendipity has reached #1 now...

He, he

I don't go there very often. I actually find it difficult to navigate around that place. Guess I'm just a small-town person.

Actually, what happened was I just did a search and must not have ever use the right criteria (combination of words). Right now that thread is at the top of their forum!

That thread should be near the top again. I just bumped Rickman's post up because I share his thinking regarding cheaters.

Well, if the MoS is legit I own him a public apology. I've hinted at him being a cheater and for that I apologize.

I too would like to know what kind of fleet produces 11.5K+ per day. I'm guessing it would take 1200 top-of-the-line desktops running 24/7 and doing almost nothing but SETI. About 3GB of bandwidth daily as well, yes?

Yeah it does seem a bit unlikely....not that I am saying yes or no to the cheating.....but to have 1200+ high spec PC's with SETI logged in as you??...hmmmm.....
