first things first, try what Guitar Daddy said above. For now you may have to run it at DDR400 speed and wait for a bios revision if it' even is a bios issue. I tend to think it's more of just a A64 limitation, especially after what GD said above. On the up side, that ram (I think) will o/c better! and if your only running it at pc3200, you should be able to tighten your timings far beyond the rated 2.5-4-4-8! (I think) Try all the settings I recomended earlier, except for the "ddr550". Set that to "ddr400". Problem solved?

now on to more important things! FF XI????? I assume by FF you mean Final Fantasy. I consider myself somewhat of a FF fanboy (especially in the FF7 area, but who isn't??? GREATEST GAME EVER) But FF XI isn't out yet (your profile says you live in the US) Are you refering to something diff.? Or have you played FF XI on a modded station? Or is FF XI even out in Japan yet? Lately I've been spending a lot of time with my pc, and not enough with my PS/PS2! I was in the middle of playing FF7 (for the eighth time ) when I got my rig finished. I do love both of them, and can't ever decide how to choose between the two. *sigh*

oh holly friggn' crap! I'm an idiot!!!!! FF XI, not XII! I always forget about XI, cause I,m not much into MMO's. I feel like a super-jackass!!! So ............. I'm sorry, could you hold on, I have to go beat my head against a wall. If there's only one thing I hate more that stupid ppl. It's when I realize I'm one of 'em!

On a lighter note, how are those settings working?

oh and also, I wouldn't screw with the voltages just yet, unless the ram says it needs a higher vdimm than your board puts out by default.

The 550 setting locks it right up. So what I did was set the DDR to the 400 setting and I went through every page and put my timings to the lowest number and rebooted. I have 1-t ,2.0 ,2 and ect. I have no idea what the heck I am doing now. I am at the point to were I just change things to see what happens. I feel like I am looking for a needle in a haystack setting to make things work.

so DDR400 2-2-2-5 1t works? sorry I'm just having a hard time understanding what your saying. If you use all the settings I mentioned earlier, except for "ddr550" it should work. So try this:

Under "advanced" find "Hyper Transport Frequency" set it to 5x
Under "advanced" > "DRAM config" set "Max memclock to "DDR400"
Under "advanced" > "DRAM config" set "1T/2T memory timing" to "1T"
Under "advanced" > "DRAM config" set "CAS Latency to "2.5"
Under "advanced" > "DRAM config" set "RAS# to CAS#" to "4"
Under "advanced" > "DRAM config" set "Min RAS# active time" to "8"
Under "advanced" > "DRAM config" set "Row percentage time" to "4"
Under "advanced" > "DRAM config" set "ECC" to "disable" or "off" or whatever

If that doesn't work try leaving everything the same BUT change:
Under "advanced" > "DRAM config" set "1T/2T memory timing" to "2T"

If you will let me know if these settings work or not I think I can help, but I just can't understand what you've been saying in the last few posts. Really hope this helps!
