Setting up a UT3 server for AT members

UT3 gets spammy so damned quick. I like UT2k4 with 6 or fewer players, and UT3 with 4 or fewer. In reality the most fun I've had in UT3 has been with 1v1s.

The whole UT3 thing was kind of a kick in the balls. I was burning out a bit on UT2k4, and was really looking forward to customizing a new avatar, and just seeing some new sights. I knew they were making gameplay changes I didn't agree with, but I figured I'd still have fun with some new taunts, and just clowning around on the server. Well, the game was a failure in just about all respects. They improved a couple of weapons, and ruined some others. The gui is abysmal, and Gamespy can kiss my ass. I'm sure the PS3 players are enjoying having a decent FPS for a change, but for PC gamers(or at least me) it's a huge letdown in configurability, and general usability.

I have fun with it on occasion, but that has more to do with playing with friends, and not the game itself. I'd love to see Epic release a UT3.5 ala UT2k3-UT2k4, but I'm not holding my breath :^/

I'm all about CTF, i don't mind some DM or i guess team DM

Currently I frequent a CTF server called Flag Junkies Crib which is an EST server but lately its been busy during the daytime too.

I tried adding your server (24.191.196.99:7777) to HLSW and it didn't come up.

Just a warning, there are some REALLY good players on there so don't get discouraged.

I'm more of an asset in TDM/WAR than CTF, as i've barely played CTF in UT3

People are playing UT3 CTF? Makes we want to finish the port of my best UT99 CTF map. I've got it all cut out and textured and partially lighted, but it's been sitting on the cutting room floor for months.

i think we should play some invasion. the map mixer adds a better interface for hosting. i also suggest battle rpg for invasion along with the sentinels, which become really useful in the later waves.
