setting up IIS on XP PRO

Hello.
I'm trying to setup up my webserver for my webpage with IIS but i can't.
Someone have sucessfully setup the IIS on XP PRO ??

I have this computer and other connected both to a switch and the switch to an ADSL Router (ZyXel Prestige 645)

Help me with this.

P.D: When i put the name of this computer on IE opens my web page but i can't view from internet by my IP.

are u running any firewall (ie: the one that comes with XP) ?
if so u need to open the port 80

also, u can try to access the website from your other computer in the LAN, see if ur IIS is configured properly or not

if you can see your site at http://127.0.0.1 but not from the outside it's simply a firewall or router issue. Open port 80 on your firewall & forward port 80 at your router to your computers local IP (192.168.x.x).

Last night I was also trying to setup my webserver to run on IIS and I had no luck. Yes the 80 port was forwarded to the correct machine. In the Options menu where the Documents tab is there are several default htm document styles like index.htm and such but I need to use intro.htm as my starting page because of a flash intro I have. Thats did'nt work. I even tried using index.htm to just skip the flash but it still would'nt find the page. What could I be missing? Is there a help site that can point out the best way to set up IIS.
