Setting up two wireless routers for different standards.

Can someone point me to a guide for setting up my old wireless router to handle B/G connections leaving my new router to handle N and above connections?

I googled some and find several guides to setting up two routers, but nothing to address this particular situation. I have a Buffalo AirStation WHR-HP-G54 ans an Asus RT-AC66U I don't need to separate them to widen my coverage, they will both be together at a central location in my home. Do I have to worry about interference between them if they are addressing different standards? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Setup the Asus as the main router, and configure the wireless to do N only. Wireless N comes in 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz

As far as interference goes, since B/G and N both share the 2.4Ghz spectrum, if you're going to use N on the 2.4Ghz then configure the channels on each router to avoid channel overlap

Configure the Asus to provide only a @ n only while all the G will go on the Buffalo,

You can use the same SSID and WPA2 password on both. Set one to CH-1 and the other to CH-11.
I have the exact same combination of Routers, it works Great.

It is easy to set up the Buffalo in access point mode.
I don't remember seeing any settings in there for setting the channel for 2.4, it is readily apparent in the Asus.
I have my cable modem connected to the wan port on the Asus, do I connect a lan port on the asus to the wan port or lan port on the buffalo.
I saw some guides suggesting lan to lan, but that seems counter intuitive.

OK, I found the channel setting on the Bufalo. I just never moved it off Auto, in all the years I had it, I'm not much of a hacker...
The setting on the Asus is called "Control Channel"?, I picked 11U, not sure what the U is about..
I had the Buffalo set on WEP128, I think because of the kid's' Nintendo DS's, that was the best they could do, I think AOSS picked it.

How do I turn off "G" on the Asus?

The Buffalo is a B/G only router, thus nothing needs to be configured regarding type Of Wierelss.

LAN to LAN. You don't need or want two SOHO routers running NAT.
