thanks but as shown there are total 5 jacks and dont know which to leave or useYou'll need 3 rca to 3.5mm cables.
Connect the RR (red) and RL (white) as a pair to the RS out, and the FR (red) and FL (white) as a pair to the line-out. The sub (red) and center (white) are connected as a pair to the Csub.
How to Test Surround Sound Speakers on Windows 10
Need help positioning surround sound speakers on a Windows 10 machine? Windows has a test program tucked away that makes the task easy. Here's how to use it.www.howtogeek.com

i set it up but in movies only background music coming no dialogues :I believe I mentioned which ports to use? I edited my post to make it more clear.

I'd say double-check and make sure you're using the right ports, i'd also make sure you've got your speakers configured as surround capable in windows.
Also, I don't think your motherboard supports Dolby/DTS audio codecs, so you might want to look into a sound card if your goal is watching blurays and other movies.
no when i tested only 2 speakers sounded and on netflix prime video only music came no dialogue but when i switch to stereo all worked fine1) When you tested your speakers through windows sound settings did they all work correctly?
2) what software are you using to play the movie? Check the players sound settings.
3) What movie are you watching and from what source. Was it dvd, bluray, streamed, digital, or ripped? What audio setting did you select in setup?
during normal test from realtek 2 speakers sound onlyI don't think the sound cards dolby capabilities are an issue if using 3.5mm, only optical?
Assuming everything is set up properly, whether 5.1 works or not would mostly be player and source based.

If it's sent analog, then it's already been through the DAC on the sound card. So it would just be standard 6 channel PCM converted to analog, then amped by the receiver. I'm unsure of the overhead required these days to do real-time decoding of Dolby/DTS codecs into uncompressed PCM, but I can't imagine it's entirely negligible.I don't think the sound cards dolby capabilities are an issue if using 3.5mm, only optical?

did not understand anything :0 my bad it is my desktop pc not cd or dvd player connected with my home theatreIf it's sent analog, then it's already been through the DAC on the sound card. It's generally why you should be using HDMI for audio if you can. Dolby/DTS provides massive bandwidth savings and has no source overhead (since it's all decoded by the receiver). Or a sound card with Dolby/DTS licensing and use TOSLINK, which will compress Dolby/DTS surround tracks, but at least you're removing the decode overhead from your source.
Really HDMI is the way to go if you can.
When you switched to stereo, all the speakers were playing audio? Or you were able to hear dialogue and music?no when i tested only 2 speakers sounded and on netflix prime video only music came no dialogue but when i switch to stereo all worked fine
if i choose stereo in realtek software 2 speakers are tested and they do sound and in movies also all speakers workWhen you switched to stereo, all the speakers were playing audio? Or you were able to hear dialogue and music?
If the former I'm not sure what's going on.
If the later you should try swapping the working speakers rca cables to see if the other cables are bad. Then if those speakers work you need new rca cables. If those speakers don't work, check that all of the speakers are properly connected. Check that all the clips on the speaker and subwoofer side are contacting bare wire.
Hmm, have you tried swapping the center and sub?if i choose stereo in realtek software 2 speakers are tested and they do sound and in movies also all speakers work
if i choose 5.1 still in realtek software only 2 speakers give sound and rest mute and same in movies no dialogue only background music
ruled out: wires are all good and checked and tight in all slots i d not know why 5.1 not working in my old motherboard asus b75mlx it had only 3 sockets for audio but now this new msi z490 it has total 5 and 1 spdif out do not know does not work
Yes i connected this cenre sub to lin in then selected centre subwoofer but did not wrkHmm, have you tried swapping the center and sub?
ok i will and i can test through both msi and windows same problemDeselect speaker fill and test output to each speaker. If you can't test them individually through the MSI setup try going through the Windows speaker configuration.
