Hello there,
Not sure what i have managed to do, recently i have been getting this message when i boot up and then every 15-20mins at regular intervals. This morning i booted my PC and low and behold the message appeared. Two options "Ignore" "close" (I would post an image of this error message but I cant view anything on my log in.) i clicked close and checked the file directory, there was a shortcut under the name of the of the error message.
I removed some files including "Google Search" it said it needed to close "Setup9.exe" due to a 16-Bit error. So i clicked continue and when the file finished un installing my computer froze. I hit the re-boot button and logged in.
There now is no icons. no start bar no nothing, i can 'Ctrl + Alt + Delete' and that interface appears with no lag. before the computer re-booted i caught a glimpse of a Dos promt file in the directory "C:\Document and Settings\Pete\Setup.exe"
Sorry if this makes minimal sense, i just want some help on to how to fix it? My neighbor reccomends opening "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" and pressing run and opening explorer?
Thanks in advance
- Pete
