I had a bent pin on a P4 Northwood once. I just straightened it out gently and hoped it worked. And it's perfectly fine if only one or 2 pins are bent, see if you can straighten it. Otherwise you could always replace it where u bought it (unless u bent it urself?)

If the pins were bent straight out from the box you can return to the vendor for a new CPU. Otherwise you can try to make the pins straight carefully with a tweezer.

A razor blade works well too. It "could" still work would try to fix your self and if you can't RMA time.

Worst case scenario RMA to vendor or if it's been a while just RMA to AMD and tell them that's the way it came and they'll issue you a new one.

You can glue it to a wallet like I did with my p3 800mhz and have the world fastest money.

I did the same with a P4 chip, I just GENTLY bent them straight and it worked fine.

It's not uncommon at all to get a few bent pins. As others have said, VERY GENTLY straighten them out (I used the tip of a penknife under a strong light) and you should be fine.

I had this happen on a friend of mines then top of the line P4 3.0C processor, took a long time, a dental tool, and a magnifying glass but I was able to bend his 8+ bent pins back into place and get him up and running, definitly go slow and it's not for the faint of heart.

I second the mechanical pencil. I have always used a mechanical pencil with no lead, and it works great. If you ever have a bent pin in a ps2 connector, vga connector, etc, the mechanical pencil slides right around the pin and assures that you can make it straight again.

i've had bent pins several times, most recently on a proc i bought used on ebay (the guy claimed it happened in shipping - never mind that it was in the AMD box inside a shipping box - yeah, right!) anyway, a careful and somewhat scary half hour fixed the problem. good luck!
