Men are by nature pursuers of mating relationships, they have to compete for the woman's attention. Feeling inadequate isn't resolved by prostitution. It may not do anything with the frustration.

I thought I knew a few guys like that. In fact 1 is a buddy (former office buddy too).. I could have sworn he would become a shooter like that since he was so angry and didn't have a girlfriend for like 15 years at a time.

Come the 2008 financial crisis, when he lost his job, he was really bitter. I suggested he look overseas like me since jobs in America were non existent then and he did. Later on he found not only a job but a woman and that totally changed him around.

He's a happy man today with a wife and 3 kids and his anger is totally gone.

I think the issue here might be lack of human connectedness more than simply release. Humans are more complicated than chimps.

The truth being that some of these guys (shooters) are/were individuals who were either diagnosed with asperger syndrome or had other mental issues that made them on par with someone who has asperger's. Thus they had a tough time relating to other people and a bad time forming relationships in highly social situations. These social inequalities often leads them toward a pathway toward of isolation and pent up anger, depression and confusion that probably morphed into all consuming rage.

Don't forget the other side of that same coin - everyone ELSE shunned that person for not fitting into the expected social mold with all its unspoken 'rules'. Years of being deliberately ostracized by the hyper-social 'cool kids' is sure to create resentment. Since it's impossible and unreasonable to ever expect the cool kids to change (despite all the the SJW pushes for social change) It's then up to that person to find their own balance - to find their own social group where they WILL be accepted, and to not allow that resentment to become hostility.

There is a poster I know of that is every bit of that and then some. Many posts he's made allude to his deep mental issues. The scary part is he owns multiple guns (his mom bought for him) and is deeply immersed in the gun culture. The really scary part is when upset at some posters comments he retaliates by wishing horrific deaths upon their children. Given the right circumstances he could very well lash out at the world with his guns IMO.

It was neither childish or said in jest. I know a couple of young fellows that exactly fit the description. Women avoid them like the plague because they're creepy as hell, I wouldn't be at all surprised if either of them went postal.

i would say it's more than that. i would argue that it's the fact that we don't teach boys how to deal with emotions at all. now, this might seem very manly at first, but if you don't know how to deal with and process emotions, i would guess it means you also don't know how to express them in a healthy manner either. on a cultural level, we see anger and violence as acceptable male behaviors. crying? hell no. so when it comes time to deal with rejection? let's get angry and hurt people.
