2) Yank Sing or Ton Kiang. Yank Sing is about 5x the cost probably. But the best dim sum in the bay is Koi Palace in Daly City hands down.
I'm not Cantonese, but I had a discussion with Cantonese people about Vancouver and Hong Kong and both places put Bay Area dim sum to shame. They made it sound like the Koi Palace I ate was the equivalent of eating Panda Express and claiming I had good Chinese.
I guess this is the part I hate about being a foodie. You become a snob about everything, from something simple like ice cream and dim sum to things that deserve quality like steak and seafood.

Yeah, I'm of Vietnamese descent, and the same can be said for Viet cuisine. Being a resident of the Seattle area, I'm lucky to be near the border.
