Well I finished getting the pieces together to complete the H2O project on the SFF system. I still am waiting for an AIW9600 and a DVD burner for it, but I have it up and folding using a generic 52X CD-Rom and onboard shitFX.

Since I am running the onboard GFX it wont OC too far so Im leaving it be. I also dont have HT enabled as this is just testing and I want all CPU power put on one folding client for now. I will do it all up right later when totally completed.

My temps are weird. The BIOS and MBM both state the same temps but they say system temp is higher than CPU? CPU @ stock 3.0Ghz is folding at 32*C (Awesome!) but system temp is 35-36*C hmmm? I think the temp diode for SYS is too close to the SB which is passively cooled by a small heatsink I added.

For the radiator I encased it in a dual 120MM fan shroud and sealed the edges with expanding foam and silicone to make sure air only goes through the cooling fins instead of around the radiator, This proved to work quite well, and it needed to as I put my medium power Delta 120MM on the 5v rail to run them absolutely quiet(and they are). I can't hear a damn fan on this thing, now I need to pick a quiet DVD-Burner.

All the ugly external pieces will be hidden in a storage area under my entertainment center out of view. I am not looking for a fantastic overclock, all I want is as high as it will take me while remaining this silent. With 32* under load @ 3.0Ghz I am sure there is headroom to raise that BUS up when I have a different video solution in there.

pics are here

OH ya BTW the liquid looks like molasses because it is a mix of 25% Dex-Cool and 75% Distilled H2O and a few drops of blue reactive dye. I may put a window on the SFF and add a UV CCFL so I wanted to be prepared for that.

Topic Title: SFF + H2 OH YEAH

And I thought this was going to be a computer similar to the one that went into a Chevy Avalanche RC car.
