SFO 2 hour layover question

Assuming flight lands on time, is it enough time to visit In-N-Out then go back through security?

if it's not busy, i would guess so. i think it took me 20 minutes to get through security at SFO on a friday afternoon.

I practically live down there lately between almost weekly flights and the fact that my corp headquarters are within spitting difference of the airport.

Catch a cab and it'll take you 5 mins to get there and 5 mins to get back. You don't even have to get on the freeway; the back road along the airport is dead empty and basically takes you right there. Two hours is plenty of time. Isn't walking distance though.

Security will take you anywhere from 10-25 mins, but I usually get through in 15.

You forgot to account for the time waiting in line to get the burgers from In-and-Out. And no, it's not 5 minutes there and 5 minutes back, you're over exaggerating.

You probably could do it. You never know with SFO though. Sometimes it takes 1 hour to get through security. That leaves you very little buffer since it can also take you 30 minutes or so to get your food. I wouldn't risk it.

as you can see from the map it is 1 exit down from SFO and literally next to the freeway although getting in to the parking lot can be tricky. it isnt 5min, but certainly 10 if you arent hitting rush hour(7-10 am 3-7pm) a cabbie might be able to get you there by the back road without any issues.

the main issue will be how long it takes I/O to get to your order. at the best of times it can be 5 min, worst 30 min. the question will be how long the SFO security/boarding procedure takes.

airport concessions are typically done by a catering company. They buy franchises of the different brands, and put in the restaurants. In-n-Out isn't a franchise.
