SGS3 vs OX vs RAZR Maxx

Complicated question here. I am currently running an SGS2 international version on AT&T. I can now either buy a SGS3 intl version outright, or get a SGS3 att version, or get the HTC one X.

I can also, and would like to, switch to Verizon and go with the RAZR maxx or the SGS3... I realize the Razr is the least impressive phone of the bunch in terms of wizbang but hot damn that battery life is appealing. Its also the cheapest for me to acquire on Verizon give that Im on a corporate plan with limited subsidized options.

Thoughts?

If you order from amazon with contract for verizon, there is only a $50 difference between the razor maxx and galaxy.

I would go HOX or S3, US editions have same cpu and all, more based on microSD support, screen (AMOLED vs SLCD2), sense vs touchwiz, it's about your preference. If getting the international version then I would get the S3 since I would rather have the exynos over the tegra 3.

Id have to buy the S3 outright since it isnt offered subsidized through the corporate plan right now.

Can't you buy from Amazon and then apply corporate discount by calling Verizon?

Also the S3 has a locked bootleader, if that bothers you I would stay away from Verizon (unless you buy the phone outright from Samsung).

My 2 cents. If you have the Intl SGS2, thats still a very nice phone. I'd hold off on buying anything new this round, wait for the next cycle. Droid Life has some screen caps of an upcoming HTC quad core device with a 1080p screen.

Also, unless you need the extra battery life of the Razr Maxx, I'd avoid it. Its last years CPU and last years screen resolution.

Not sure if its an option either, but something like Straight Talk would be a SIM change for the SGS2 and lower your AT&T bill?

None of the above. Galaxy Nexus with Jelly Bean > all other Android phones right now. It's faster, smoother, and better than all current Android phones. Sell your SGS2 Get the $350 GSM Galaxy Nexus from the Play Store. Buy the official 2000mah extended battery for $30 and profit. I messed with AT&T SGS3 and while it's nice, GNex with Jelly Bean is faster and smoother. Plus you get the added benefit of stock Android.

GSM Galaxy Nexus has decent battery life and you can use the phone til the release of the next Nexus in November. You should be able to sell the GNex for minimal loss and you can enjoy the new Nexus. For Android, it's Nexus or nothing.

Wait until phones with better GPUs get JB. Then the GNex will seem slow (just like what happened with ICS).

By the time other phones get JB, the new Nexus will be out and it will be faster than current phones. Just like what happened with ICS. And the cycle will continue with Key Lime Pie. He's better off buying the cheaper $350 Nexus and enjoy stock Jelly Bean for 6 months while waiting for the new Nexus and Key Lime Pie. I bet new Nexus will launch in November and Key Lime Pie probably Feb/March 2013. He will be able to sell the Galaxy Nexus later for $250-300 no problem.

This would be an easy decision for me.

Samsung Galaxy S3. It has a nice HD display, micro SD slot, removable battery. If you need more battery life, buy a spare. Need more storage, add a micro SD card.

HTC One X is nice. No micro SD or removable battery may not be deal breakers, but they sure are nice to have I think.

Razr Maxxx not having a HD display is a complete deal breaker these days to me.

GPU doesn't matter unless you plan on gaming.... The Nexus S runs ICS beautifully and will run JB fine too. It's not the "fastest" in terms of loading and stuff, but that GPU only comes into play if you plan on heavy gaming.
