Shake Recipes? Bulking, Cutting, whatever?

Figured we haven't had one of these in a while...what you guys doing for shakes these days?

I'm at the tail end of a cut...my morning shake:

1 cup soy milk
2 large eggs
2 Tbl greek yogurt
2 tbl flaxseed
1 scoop ON choco protein powder
1 cup blueberries.


Tastes DELICIOUS, like a chocolate shake with blueberries in it

Typically if I have to run to work right after a CF sesh, I drink one of these:

16oz 2% milk
1 cup blueberries
1 banana
1.5 scoop ON Whey
1 scoop Creatine

If I'm bulking, I make it a bit heavier:

12oz whole milk
4oz coconut milk
1 cup blueberries/mixed berries
1 banana
2 raw eggs
1 Tbsp olive oil
1.5 scoops ON Whey
1 scoop creatine

That typically comes to about 800cal. I can drink it after a workout and then eat 30min later, which is the nicest part about it.

1 banana + milk totaling 2 cups. Then 2 or 3 kinds of frozen fruit, usually raspberries, blueberries, strawberries or cranberries. Usually makes probably around 800-900mL. Sometimes it's a bit tart for my tastes so I add a bit of honey.

I recently tried throwing in a few grape tomatoes (bad idea!) and a few baby carrots (not bad but if you put too many, it tastes weird).

I take 2.5-3 scoops of whey protein, has 78&#37; protein...

Currently I@m cutting so Mon to Sat is low carb, taking less then 40-50g per day if that.

Shake for breakfast

10am apple
11 or 12 chicken salad, have been having humous and flat bread on training days, but now going to cut that out

17 protein shake

19-21 training I take an isotonic drink to pull me through the session and a sugar free ribena to flavour my water

2130 steak/ veg
half chicken and veg omelette

Dropped about 2.5-3kg now. Been off creatine for 11 days so looking to drop another 1.5kg from that. Looking leaner brah! I'll do another 3-4 weeks of this before I stack it on a bit but trainings been good, not feeling week so I'll see how this goes. But I bet by 6-7th week my strength will crash...but I'm loading up on carbs on Sundays unlike my bro.

peanut butter and olive oil mixed with bananas and ice cream? You're braver than I am, I only mix milk, whey powder, fruit and/or honey.

If you do it right, the olive oil + eggs makes the shake taste like egg batter. It makes things thicker and creamier. I tend to add a little extra liquid because of this (coconut milk) and it tastes pretty good with vanilla whey.

funky monkey...I was close to buying some protein water...but it worked out to be 40g for £2 and I had to buy 12 500ml bottles...it would have been a nifty way to get in an extra 40g without another shake...

5 or 6 days/week I drink one of these. I haven't checked the caloric breakdown in a while. I think the peanut butter one comes in around 800, the strawberry one slightly less.

10 oz milk
4 heaping Tbs. rolled oats
2 frozen bananas
~1/4 cup peanut butter (I don't really measure, just eyeball it)
1 scoop chocolate whey protein

10 oz orange juice
4 heaping Tbs. rolled oats
7 or 8 frozen strawberries
1 banana
Maybe a few blueberries or raspberries if I have them
1 scoop banana whey protein

Just whey protein (straberry flavor yum) and milk. Taking it lighter now due to a shoulder injury.

Pretty much what's been posted.

Been trying to experiment with tuna in some sort of savory/spicy shake, like a Bloody Mary but ... not. So far nothing successful.

holy shit, 800 calorie shakes. MAYBE if I were bulking even then it's about 1/4 of my daily calories. I don't have and troubles putting on weight though so I guess that seems extreme for me. I just do ~ 1 cup of skim milk and chocolate whey it ends up being about 200 calories

I think mine's around 700 with 60g protein and like 20g fiber lol

i usually start with a couple ice cubes, add frozen strawberries, 1/2 banana, and a serving of protein powder. not sure what I will do in 2 weeks, will be in my dorm with no blender or ice or fresh fruit :\

yah I use a blender. Buy one for your dorm room. Get a mini fridge and put fruit in it. Frozen fruit makes it cold enough so I don't use ice

Same here, frozen fruit replaces the need for ice. Ice just dilutes it anyway.

Is a microfridge an option? If the "freezer" in your microfridge isn't big enough for a bag or two of frozen fruit, you'll have to use ice, or get used to warm shakes. :thumbsdown:

If you want to try a really health shake, you can try this one, it's a lighter, slushier shake with intense lime flavor like the lime-freeze slushes you had as a kid.
Use raw green stevia for the sweetner.

1 english cucumber
1/2 avocado
1-2 hand fulls baby spinach
3-4 peeled limes (adjust to desired amount)
8-12 ice cubes
raw green stevia to taste

Blend on high until smooth and drink immediately!

My protein shake:

1 cup of Non-Fat or Low-Fat Skim Milk
1 FROZEN Banana
4-5 FROZEN Strawberries
1 Scoop of Whey Protein Powder

Optional - Half to one cup of low fat Cottage Cheese ; )

Has a rich, creamy texture and tastes great.
