shall i add another fan?

Im runnin a P4 3.0E Prescott with thermaltake spark 7+ HSF, Antec superlan boy case (2x120mm fans, 1 rear and 1 front). my proc temp is between 50 to 60C. im thinkin of adding another fan to the case, adding it to the side panel in front of the proc. wht im thinkin is to jst drill 4 holes for the fan and mount the fan with screws (the side panel is clear plastic).

so is this the right place to place the fan? should the fan be for intake or exhaust?

thanx for any help and pls feel free to giv any suggestions.

You forgot one more hole. The one that allows the air to flow. D'OH!

Your best bet is to have the fan blowing in. First, it will direct more cool air towards the cpu. Second, it will create a positive pressure in your case. This isn't necessarily (sp) bad unless it screws up your air flow. You might even see an increase in system temps

If this happens reverse the side fan to blowing out. This will cause a negative pressure within you case causing it to suck in more dust or whatever. If you don't mind cleaning it more often, this might be the way to go.

LOL! i reali forgot about that!!

so the best way wud be for to make the side panel one an intake and mount another on top for exhaust right. how do i go about to cut the hole for the one on top in the aluminium?

Cutting fan holes has been beat to death in these forums, but here is one more whack!

Purchase a hole cutting saw at Home Depot/Lowe's that is a tad smaller than 80mm or 120mm (which ever one your going to use). I would highly advise that you GUT your system befor you put a top hole in your case (the side panel can be relocated from your rig). Those hole cutting saws make an awful mess.

As for airflow direction: If you do two holes (side and top), have the side suck in and the top blow out.
