Note to self: don't drop a motherboard and break the PCB (and void the warranty) then complain that I'm only getting a discounted part from the manufacturer through the RMA process.

Everyone is upping Gigabyte but I've not had a good experience with them. I sent back my 7970 and got it back 3 weeks later still broken. Now they aren't responding to emails. :\ I was going to make a thread about it if they don't respond soon but IDK. I requested a ARMA too but we'll see.

On the EVGA community forum. The RMA liaison posted pictures of the chipped PCB (x2) and the power button knocked askew. http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2231371
I'd like to be sympathetic to the OP's situation since I'm currently stuck 4 months into an RMA with ASUS. After reading through that thread however, I'm far more inclined to believe EVGA. It's really too bad a lot of people wont see EVGA's side of the story here.

I got the issue sorted out ,
I asked them to send me old motherboard, I didnt get a response for 3 days , today I got a mail saying they are ready to ship the replacement . I'm really happy about it .

I'm really sorry about your asus rma dept , may be you should call them and explain the situation or go to Hard forum and send a message to raja@asus , he takes care of asus rma really good .

so turns out your PCB had been damaged before hand and you didn't even mention it...later you admitted the damage to PCB...and that damage to the board was enough to void the warranty...yet they offered you something out of warranty to show good faith! A discount ONLY IF YOU HAD FIXED YOUR DISHONEST FORUM POSTS...you didn't do it and they said well there will be no discount...i don't see how it's Evga's fault!...basically I'm just sorry for you that you thought it would be a smart move to do that and worst was when you lost your chance for the discount...you could have just admit it and get the discount...no other company would have done this for ya...

Yea it doesn't matter what the actual truth is. Once a consumer starts a smear campaign they always get their way.

A company's reputation is always worth more than the cost of the replacement board. Even if the negative repuation is based on false accusation its still negative.

sorry to break it to you'all but evga's reputation as a gpu manufacturer is stellar, there is little one complaint can do.
go through the standard procedures and you might yet get a replacement; hold on to that picture.

this isn't really an issue of Evga's reputation anymore. OP lied about the damage to his board and after Evga offered a solution he continued to denigrate the company so they backed out of their offer. OP continued to bitch and OP got his way.

I didnt lie to them , I have provided enough proof to show I was not lieing .
The pcb damage so got though the postal service . So there was nothing I could do about it . But blaming me for that was the problem.

The new board is on its way .

I'm sorry but what are you talking about? if you didn't go to EVGA forum they actually put a part of email chain sent between you and EVGA Taiwan support as evidence here it is:

I'm speechless...and it's funny for someone who can't even take a motherboard out of their case properly without damaging the board you have a Modsrigs account...like anybody going to EVGA forum link can see the whole story...page 4-6 is all you need..why you gotta blame the post service?

OP, did you break your board and then try to cheat your way to a replacement?

Wait, the board broke, then you broke it more by accident, then they denied the RMA, then you went on a smear campaign? I have more reason to be mad a Gigabyte than you did at EVGA.

It probably doesn't matter what the truth is. The lesson here is bitch enough and smear a company enough and you'll get your way.
