Hi guys,
I'd like to share a network connection after a Windows 7 computer. It would be:
Wall -> ethernet -> Main Computer -> ethernet -> Wireless Router -> Other Devices
Unless anyone has any suggestions, it absolutely has to be this way due to having to install software on my main computer in order to connect to the internet, and I haven't found a way around this. So my questions are:
1. Is this doable? From what I'm reading, I think it is, but I want to be sure before I go out and spend some money on a ethernet card since my motherboard only has 1.
2. How do I set it up, and is there any component I'm missing? Is it as simple as enabling Internet Connection Sharing in Network Connections, selecting the second ethernet and plugging that into the wireless router?
3. Is there a difference (performance, reliability) as to whether I have the computer route (Main ethernet into router's LAN) or the router route (Main ethernet into the router's WAN)?
Thanks!
