i had a geeky moment this past weekend at the beach.

one of the guys who was with us had a friend visit us. he showed us this card trick that was pretty damn impressive, then he taught us how to do it.

i still do not understand 100% why or how it works, but it does work. at that point, he told us he majored in math and wrote a paper on the trick in college about why it works.

at that point I gave him my email address so that he could forward me the paper, because I was interested in how it actually works and the math behind it.

When I was in middle school, I played alot, and I mean alot of Magic the Gathering. I would design "decks" without having the cards in front of me. I would just make lists, because I knew what every card already did. And when I got home, I put the decks together.
