LOL, I have a friend that does that, too. His nickname is Meatman, so his kids are Meatspawn Ver. 1.0 and 2.0. Or, Minimeat and Micromeat.

My nerdiest moment: At a lanparty, about 8 of us watching a guy play "Pachinko Sexy Reaction". You win a round, anime girl takes off shirt, nerds cheer @ boobies.

In Everquest, when you see a monster/mob in chase mode, or running, not in it's typical slow pathing behavior, you can assume it's chasing after someone.... so you just click on the mob to make it your target, and use the /assist command to find out what that mob is chasing, or your target's target, and you'll then have the name of the player it's chasing down (can do this to find the ass that's causing a train of mobs that's about to unleash havoc on unsuspecting bystanders).

Well, I was on the interstate here in Orlando, and ahead on my left, I notice a highway patrol car in the median just as it's turning on it's lights and making a u-turn to apparently chase someone that had been speeding, or whatever, and the instant thought in my mind was to /assist it and find out which car it was chasing =) That gave me a little chuckle, and also probably told me I had been playing EQ too much lately =)

Definitely my nerdiest moment ever, though it was a girl that talked me into it so it's not like I came up with it on my own.

LOL I really like the captions for the Harley Collar, and big nose pics =) Pics #1 and 2.

No need to mention first and last - stupid FFXI

You should have Hasted yourself and quickly cast Confusion on her, so that she didn't remember what you had said.

After a long day of Halo I had a dream, but I saw everything through the pistol scope (Halo 1) and peoples' names would fade in above them if I targeted them long enough.

I was in English class handwriting an essay. After writting a few sentences on the paper, my left hand instinctively made a move to press 'Ctrl-S'. When I realized it, I just had to shake my head.

Back when I used to write a lot of essays in high school. I'd hit ctrl-s continuously whenever I write something whether its on ATOT or something.

Taking a paper and pen on board a 12 hour flight and writing code on how to figure out how to solve a particular coding problem. The people sitting next to me were wondering what I was doing and frequently stared at my paper. One of them did end up asking me what I was doing and laughed after I explained it to them. Actually, I used to do that a lot... in class when I was bored or when I didn't have access to a computer.

Getting into a big argument with my friend on which is a better graphics card and how to code a particular problem.

Talking with my friends about the latest slashdot stories.

Being the goto guy for whether a game for any particular system is good or not even though I may not have the game/systems.

Being able to recall obscure facts about past games/game designers. I remember when Doom 3 was coming out, I spent about 1 hour telling my co-worker about the history of iD.

Keeping the original packaging of all the games I've owned.

My Mom was learning metal-emboss art and I convinced her to emboss Sonic the hedgehog... it came out pretty cool and I hang it near my computer.

Frequently upsetting (not intentionally) Professors who teach programming at college by asking questions which they did not know answers too. After the first few days, I know whether or not I'm getting on the nerves of the teacher and stop asking questions. However, the really good ones appreciated and encouraged me to ask questions... when they didn't know the answers, they would flatout say that they weren't sure and they promised to get back to me.

Owning every Nintendo system from the NES onwards (except the virtual boy.. wasn't in the country at the time, so it wasn't really my fault ).

Actually knowing what movie this is from and exactly how the voice sounds in my head when I read the quote! Oh and replying on a computer forum under the "Share your nerdiest moments" thread.

I passed a sign that said "DSL $2.99", and I was amazed. Until I realized it was a gas station selling diesel.

Sometimes I wrote dates on school papers in binary.

Having nearly every conversation with my friend turn into a critical analysis of Star Wars.

Making parody websites of my teachers while in study hall in a CS classroom.

Carrying around The Empire Strikes Back on my PDA and watching it during whenever I have free time.

Finishing an assignment in a CS class before it was assigned.

When I was in college, I threw a block of sodium metal in the campus lake..... I wanted to see a big boom.... Unfortunately, because the metal was drenched in mineral oil (the way sodium metal is typically stored), its just skirted around on the surface of the lake for about 10 minutes (it was a BIG block of sodium)...
