Well, I haven't shaved in several months because I figured it was too much of a hassle and not worth whatever benefits it gave me. Couple years before that I started out with an electric and hated it - really irritated the skin. Started using the Mach 3 and it felt a little better, although I had to deal with cuts then. After that I just used the Mach 3 here and there and did some touch up on the side burns with the moustache trimmer attached onto the electric. Finally decided to let it go since I wasn't really shaving for any reason - no SO, no fancy job, etc. Feel like a million bucks now. I just resent the day I get my degree and need to start shaving again (well at least to get a job, then I might be able to let it go), although I won't resent the degree one bit.

Anything is better then Remington I don't even consider them during Shaver Discussions

You can probably get a decent Panasonic for a few bucks more. I believe the model under the Linear is the Sonic 3...

I'm also a Norelco man... got a Reflex action razor that's a few years old... has the separately suspended heads... it's not bad at all. I do envy Quadra action users since they just rinse under water to clean the shaver. I wonder about the Spectra series... does it really adjust to sensitivity?? How do you know how to adjust it?

Anywho... Norelcos they last forevaaaar... my dad used his first corded Norelco back in the 70s... still works! He's currently using one he bought in the early 90s. Norelco makes the best electric razor IMHO. I've tried Panasonics and Remingtons... didn't like them.

i have a very sensitive face. i have tried every blade out there and a few electric ones as well. every one would make my face turn bright red and i would get these little bumps for days.

My father bought me a mach 3 and man is it great. i have yet to try the turbo but the regular one does wonders for my face. (not that it helps how it looks..but at least no redness or bumps!)

If you have sensitive skin get the mach 3. yeah it is expensive but i feel its well worth it.

I never got a good shave from mine. I had the original Norelco Advantage (Was is this, goo?) and never good a nice shave. The three heads would always screw my sideburns (even though they're real short). I resented the fact that you had to remove the entire top to clip on the trimmer. The Panasonic Linear is excellent. Gives a close, smooth shave with less irritation. The wet-dry feature is excellent. You can shave in the shower, with shaving cream or just plain. The Braun Syncro has a really good shave as well, but the Panasonic is closer. The rate the two the same because the Syncro is self-cleaning. Braun is almost there with the best shaver. If the Syncro had a higher RPM motor (I believe the Syncros are 8K and Linears are 10K) and was Wet/Dry, it would be hands-down the best.

If you're lazy and don't need a super close shave, go with the Syncro. If you want versatility, go with the Panasonic.

I want to try and implant the Linear motor into my Syncro, but I'll know I'll screw up. Then I'll be forced to use a blade...
