She butchered the Star Spangled Banner!

My god, how can someone asked to sing the Star Spangled Banner at a major event like the All Star game, manage to butcher the words not once, but twice!

Anastacia or whatever her name is said "and the rockets gave glare", and also her other gem, "gave truth through the night..." Ugh.

That was pretty awful. Apart from the words being screwed up, it actually sounded terrible all the way around. What an embarassment....

Hell yeah she butchered it. It seems like this happens at every major event. The people who do the best are usually the small people who sing at a regular season game.

We need to find out whoever was in charge of getting a singer for the All Star Game and flood him with emails, what a travesty!! That chick's voice sucked. Maybe she sounds good with her voice all synthesized up, but she sounded like crap live, in addition to screwing up the words.


And did anyone notice....all she had to do was turn around....the words were on the scoreboard behind her. I saw them in the background while they were showing her.

i like her voice, atleast on her two albums. i like her first album better though. yes... her voice is unconventional but i like it.

The guys on my local sports radio station (The Score - Chicago) decided that "multi-platinum" meant that she had a big truck out back and was selling jewelry.
