Match that with the likelihood that fewer employers will offer plans to find the joy awaiting a lot of Americans in their pre-retirement years.

No, grandma has MANY more choices besides getting a handout just because she paid into social security and medicaid for a few decades.

None of that was mentioned in the OP's story...and IF the 64yo woman KNOWS she has either of those...she should find a way to make her premiums...

As I've mentioned before, my wife will be one of those hit with a HUGE premium increase for her medical insurance because of this. We don't know how we'll deal with it...but she's already said, "Fuck that. I'll drop my insurance and hope for the best."

Here is a 60 yo disabled Trump voter on Medicaid in Indiana. She is all for repealing Obamacare but she doesn't like the fact that Trumpcare will go after and cut Medicaid because she needs the government to spend unlimited amounts of money on her (at least 50k per year according to the article) and screw everyone else. She still will support Trump even if it cuts her Medicaid. I have no sympathy if she is cut off. She voted for this. Let her enjoy cuts to Medicaid.
